It is not as inaccurate to compare the Muslims to Nazis as it was to compare our soldiers guarding them to Nazis, for which there has been no unambiguous apology.

Correct--a significant point. It is these same people who do not know or admit that Hitler was a socialist just like the other two.

Yes, those were other groups that he targeted, but I don't believe I limited his targeting to the Jews.

Look, we're not exhonerating or even lessening Hitler's level of evil here. Both he and the terrorists are just as evil IMO.

While these groups were most, if not all the people Hitler had targeted, I would agree that his 'groups of concern' would have been expanded over time.

What I find particularly loathsome about the Muslim terrorism, is that it is willing to kill anyone, as long as they kill as many as possible. While this seems rational to them (heaven forbid), it is amazing to me tht they wouldn't mind killing their next door neighbor, family member or anyone else, simply to herd terrified people in the direction of their morally bankrupt version of Islam.

As for the phrase 'morally bankrupt version of Islam', I personally believe the entire religion is vulernable to that charge. I'm just not convinced that all adherents adhere to the radical interpretation the terrorists have adopted.

That may be through apostacy (as it applies to the Muslim faith), but I still see it that way.

After the fall many, many of those high ranking officers went to two primary countries.

You raise an excellent point. The Nazis were not really nationalists - promoting Germans ay the expense of all others - but leftist utopians whose ideal was the "Aryan" - an ethnic group that was to be created eugenically. There is no ethnic group known as Aryans, the term comes from lingusitics and was originally used to describe a language family that originated in India. The Nazis held that Germans, Scandinavians, Dutch and English were suitable raw material from which the new master race could be created.

In keeping with Hegel's model, Jews were labeled the oppressor/untermenschen - whose destruction was an absolute requirement for the liberation/creation of the oppressed/übermenschen. Nazis are very mcuh of the left, just a different branch than Marxists, who had their own version of the superman - the "new Soviet man." Both are outstanding examples of the utter depravity of human nature unbridled by knowledge of God.

Oh, I read it all right! My comment about him apologizing for offending the terrorists was in addition to some other comments I made concerning his minimizing what Hitler did.
