Voinovich (R?-OH) proving to be just as openly obstructionist to President Bush's nominee as the 'rats.

Gotta love them RINOs.

Do it! And filibuster the rats when they try to remove the appointment.

Voinovich rode Bush's coattails to an easy win last year... If he were up for reelection he would not dare to pull this crap... He should be punished however with denial of seniority and of committee positions. Dump him off the foreign relations committee ASAP. He has shown that it is too much work for him...

You can't remove a recess appointment, it expires at the end of this Congress.

When is a suitable recess for the appointment to take place?

Article II Section 2:

The President shall have Power to fill up all Vacancies that may happen during the Recess of the Senate, by granting Commissions which shall expire at the End of their next Session.

So in other words, between now and when the Senate returns from recess.

"It's like the children's story, the Emperor's Clothes: Everybody knows he's in his underwear and nobody will say it," Voinovich said Friday in an interview with the Dayton Daily News editorial board.

No. The emperor was naked, not 'in his underwear.' You're an uneducated idiot, George.

You can't remove a recess appointment, it expires at the end of this Congress, unless you're Bill Clinton appointing Bill Lann Lee.

Voinovich rode Bush's coattails to an easy win last year..

That is bull. Bush barely got 51 percent of the votes in Ohio last year. Voinovich got 63 percent. Considering that 36 percent of the voters in Ohio are Democrats, Voinovich got almost all of the Republican votes and nearly all the moderate votes.

Bush got all the Republican votes and just a tad more than half the moderates.

Voinovich refused to campaign with Bush in Ohio in 2004, he said it would cost him votes...He did not campaign for or with Bush at all and got 63 percent of the votes.

Voinovich is a RINO as is DeWhine. They are Rinos because RINOs and DINOs always do well in Ohio. When Democrats run liberals and Republicans run RINOS the RINOS win by a huge margin.

Ohio is trending to the left. A 53 percent Bush win in 2000 fell to a 51 percent bush win in 2004. Hillary may very well carry Ohio in 2008.

IT took the most aggressive campaign in my memory for Bush to win Ohio in 2004. He had an easy win in 2000. Gore pulled out of the state in 2000 with 3 weeks left.

Kerry very nearly won Ohio in 2004.

If you think a conservative can be elected in Ohio, you need your brain examined. Look for the Democrats to win all the Ohio State offices in 2006.

Politicians always do the same thing. The go where the voters are... That is what Voinovich and DeWine are doing.

It does no good to try to control what politicians do. Instead, change what the voters want and the politicians fix themselves.

And you Sen. Voinovich, wear former Ohio Senator Howard Metzenbaum's panties...

Did Voinovichy break down and start bawling when he contemplated Bolton's appointment?
