Totally Agree!! What a great way to start off this Independence Day. God Bless our President, our country, and our troops!

The soldier holding the US Flag, behind W keeps catching my attention. Sometimes he looks pretty emotional -- sometimes he looks like he's going to burst with pride.

W did a great job....Great speech

Same here, sorry, but I am tired of hearing rehashings of the fact that Aruban law won't allow us into the nitty gritty details of the case (and there's no leak, unlike here).

I believe he was in Morgantown, the home of West Virginia University.

. . . another AWESOME speech from our Commander in Chief -- the 'facial' responses from the soldier immediately behind the President said it all! [This Commander in Chief loves and respects his military and they love and respect him . . . and the country they serve!!!]

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!

[I'm off to enjoy some July 4th festivities . . . will return for the DOSE later this evening.]

I saw his lower lip and chin begin to quiver when the crowd erupted with their thanks for the troops. Then he did begin to blink back tears. It was a perfect shot of him just behind the President's right ear!

He was in Woodburn Circle. The oldest 3 buildings on campus. I wish the cameras had panned the setting for a moment so America could see how beautiful that setting truly is!

It was a great shot, wasn't it.

I just checked cspin's schedule - thought those who didn't have a chance to hear the President's speech this a.m., might have a chance later. I cannot believe they aren't showing it! Earlier today, they had the Underground Railroad and a couple of other items, here's the line-up for this evening (times are Eastern). I can see them showing the legacy of Ronald Regan, but the Legacy of Richard Daley on Independence Day???? Puullleeeeeeeease!

8pm - Legacy of Richard J. Daley
This event is a forum on the late Chicago Mayor, who served from 1955 until his death in 1976. It includes a speech by historian Michael Beschloss and a discussion on Mayor Daley's impact on national politics with Walter Mondale, Dan Rostenkowksi, and Adlai Stevenson III. The University of Illinois at Chicago hosts this forum.
10:20pm -

Legacy of Ronald Reagan
This panel includes journalist Fred Barnes, former Reagan Administration official Frank Donatelli, and author Craig Shirley. They speak about the impact of President Ronald Reagan, his campaigns, his presidency, and his leadership of the conservative movement.

I love when President Bush is out sans tie and in his shirt sleeves! He is at his best out amongst real people!
God Bless him and our troops, past and present.

This morning's CSPAN --- On America's birthday --- I wonder how many of these programs were patriotic in theme. The guest at was identified as an "anarchist." Why is this pertinent to Independence Day? /gnashing teeth>

Why is President Bush's appearance NOT acceptable? The House is not in session, which is CSPANs usual excuse.
