These things are nice but ultimately do very little. The only thing that will re-mobilize everyone again is another 9/11 type event.

To be honest with you, Im not optimistic at all with regards to this subject.
I don't see any hope for the United States or Europe in recognizing the threat - Islam is viewed simply as a religion and this is what allows it to sneak under the radar - our adversaries know more about our country's legal system and their "rights" that most Americans do. They know exactly how to defeat America (from within) and they are doing it.
What Americans dont understand is that Islam (which by the way, means 'submission') is an antagonist to liberty and freedom. You are not "free" when you "submit".
What America is losing now daily is their freedom and many don't even realize the real reason why.
