If Bush looses Bolton, he is done and will be known as a lame President. The Party has suffered severely since his second term started. He has done nothing to hold the Party together. It's like he fell asleep. And if I hear the same speech over and over in any address he makes, I'll scream. Sorry, but I've been a Republican for more years than Bush's age. Let's hope that the 2008 will bring a real Republican with fire in his belly because I would like to stay with the Party.

Last 5 words are the key there. That is why it didn't happen in Illinois.

The visage of the Dims beating up in open session on such an articulate man of color would drive what little is left of the minorities into the waiting arms of the GOP for 06 and 08. Clarence Thomas hasn't done it, Colin Powell hasn't done it, Condi hasn't done it. What makes you think dead beat Keyes will do it?
To: Sam2005
Oh, he could handle the job just fine........but his chances of being approved are slim to nonexistent.

He was good enough for Reagan he's good enough for me. Me too!!!!!!!!!

I doubt that the Democrats could withstand a Keyes' verbal dual. It sounds amazing, perhaps, but I think he would be nominated quickly. Whether it is Bolton or Keyes, the President must not back away from someone who will do something with the position. Reform the UN. Or stop sending my tax dollars for Libya to sit on the UN Human Rights Committee.

Anyone who talks of letting them deep six Bolton is giving aid and comfort to the enemy - they must be salivating at the cowardly talk of letting Bolton be railroaded - and putting up other names for nomination. All they have to do is keep up the c*ap - and we'll do the rest for them,
.good going
With friends like this, Bolton must feel really glad he's put his nether end on the line all these months.
I, for sure, wouldn't want any of the jump-shippers on my team

Because I believe that not only would Mr. Keyes use both his superior intellect, biting wit, and articulate speech to embarrass them but I believe that Karl Rove and many others would see to it that adds were produced and air showing just who the party of the KKK really was. I may be wrong on this but it would be oh so delightful to see come to pass.

That is silly. The Demmies are not going to budge and they look like fools anyway with the way they are behaving.

Let's hope that the 2008 will bring a real Republican with fire in his belly because I would like to stay with the Party Then we best get busy and get a candidate who wasn't in office when hitlery stole the FBI files - only she could get away with it - and blackmail hammers hang over Washington.
Don't you think it's a little too coincidental that so many of our representatives has jelly spines when push comes to shove???
It may be time to search out candidates who have come to Foggy Bottom SINCE the FBI files felony -

The situation has long gone past the point of offering up an alternative sacrifice.
*Anything* less than victory is defeat; appeasement and/or capitulation in the eyes of the DIMs. The issue has escalated far beyond John Bolton, per se.
I have explained all this before. If you people would just listen to me the first time, we could avoid these pointless debates. Sometimes I think I may as well be talking to my wife.....
