"Manson apparently refused to go back to his cell and assumed a fighting stance with a correctional officer, said Todd Slosek, a spokesman for the California Department of Corrections.
Slosek didn't have exact details on when the incident occurred, other than to say it happened sometime this week. He said he didn't believe either Manson or the officer was injured in the confrontation. "

Manson is a punk. A couple decades ago he taunted a prisoner who was a former Hare Krishna that had beheaded his wife for adultery and was serving a life sentence. The guy threw paint thinner on him and lit him up. They had to move Manson back into Protective Custody. The guy who torched him gets presents and cash sent to him from around the world....

Just bravado with nothing to back it up. He wouldn't have done this if he felt the guard would actually engage him. Manson's a coward and has always had other do his physical bidding.

"Manson took a fighting stance against a guard. Manson is expected to recover from his injuries in about 9 months." There goes the freak's chance at his next parole hearing. And the liberals had so much faith Charlie could be rehabilitated.
To: umgud; cripplecreek; Reaganwuzthebest
LOL - he IS a little punk! Most people would just slap him aside if he got rude with them. And anything that helps ruin any chance of parole and keeps him in custody until his dying breath is just fine with me!

I'd have loved to have read: "The guard then drew his pistol and unloaded eight .45 caliber rounds into the murderer, who promptly was declared deceased due to lead poisoning."

From what I've read about Manson, he doesn't really want to get paroled.

Oh for the days when I was on the beat. Chuckie would have gotten an old fashioned wood shampoo.

From what I've read about Manson, he doesn't really want to get paroled. He's safer in jail. Can you imagine the lynch mob that would form outside the prison gates if he ever did make parole? Animals like Manson and Mumia need killin'.

It would be suprising if they ever let Manson out but I've seen them parole worse. The more he acts like an idiot the better the chance he stays right where he is.
To: Enterprise
He probably didn't even know the guard was there. He was probably fighting some acid flash-back hallucination.

That makes them mad. You won't like

Sorry, I know I should feel bad about my opinion, but I think people have turned just about every cheek we have, as far as Manson is concerned.

There must be a way to get him to experience another flashback with a guard and some dobermans present.

Fromme is up for possible parole this year. That's another one who stay should behind bars.
To: Reaganwuzthebest
I don't know what he's trying to do nowadays, but in the past, whenever he was in front of the parole board, he'd really turn up the crazy act to purposely sabotage any chance of parole.
To: Buckeye Battle Cry

And he always made sure to have a swastika on his forehead for added effect. Manson may be a freak but I think he's smart enough to know that if he ever did get released there'd be no place for him to hide. He's safer where he is.
To: ABG(anybody but Gore)
It's not just that he's safer, but I think he prefers jail. He's said so many times in the past and has either denied or purposely sabotaged parole hearings.

Time for Geraldo to interview manson and find out what society has done this time to piss him off. Time for Manson to take Geraldo hostage and demand a plane ride to Cuba. The situation ethics question of the day: would we send in a SWAT team for Geraldo?

True. Plus, I think he may have been thoroughly institutionalized. From the time he was in his early teens till the time he was in his twenties, he was locked up. The period of time when the Manson family were doing their killings was one of the few times he wasn't locked up. IMO, besides being safer in prison, I think he considers it the only home he's ever known.

The situation ethics question of the day: would we send in a SWAT team for Geraldo? You ask a very, very, difficult question. My first instinct is to let Geraldo take him to Chicago in search of Al Capone's safe, but then another side says we'd all be better off if Manson gave him a shiv, then the SWAT team moves in to take out Chuck.

From the time he was in his early teens till the time he was in his twenties, he was locked up. Lots of drugs around in those places too from what I understand, something else that's been part of Manson's life since he was a kid.
