"One of the reasons I did that with the Kerry campaign was because I was personally offended that George Bush was using [the Foo Fighters'] "Times Like These" at his campaign rallies." Heaven forbid that some do something like blow up the Twin Towers. This self absorbed guy might have a hissy fit. This country is losing it's sense of perspective.

I wish Senator Durbin's "nazi" speech had been given by Kerry....it would have been so fitting.
Now we have a 2005 version of Kerry = Durbin.

I was personally offended that George Bush was using [the Foo Fighters'] "Times Like These" at his campaign rallies." The perfect song for Bush's Victory Party: Pearl Jam's "I'm Still Alive"
PJ was as anti-Bush as any group out there.
(And of course, the Bush campaign should have only played a downloaded copy of the song, so the "artists" would not profit in any way.)

It's his song, and I can't blame him if he doesn't want it being used for a campaign he doesn't support.

I say, good thing he said this. Now I know what records NOT to buy. Look what happened to the Dixie Chicks!
I don't mind when "Stars" say something positive about their side (Democrat or Republican), I just wish there were more Republicans in Hollyweird willing to stand up. I have to admit, I would be pissed too if Kerry used one of my songs.
Am I an "idea-log" if I think Kerry IS a treasonous, traitorous, bastard, and Bush is an OK Conservative/Republican???
