Tony Blankley: Inside Hillary's mind
Washington Times ^ | Wednesday, June 22, 2005 | Tony Blankley

Posted on 06/22/2005 1:20:17 AM PDT by JohnHuang2

About once a year I review a book in this column that ought to be required reading for people who care about politics. Edward Klein's "The Truth About Hillary" is such a book. The pre-publication leak about the book — that Bill Clinton had allegedly talked about raping his wife — was off-putting for me. I don't usually waste my time reading salacious scandal books from the left or the right. But I was advised to take a look at this book, which I read last weekend. It was worth my time. This is not a scandal book intended merely to gratify the reader's salacious interests. Instead, Mr. Klein has written a serious political and psychological biography of the most likely next Democratic nominee for president — and thus, quite plausibly I fear, the next president of the United States. Although this is a heavily researched book that includes amongst its sources almost 100 people who are or were personally close Mrs. Clinton, this is not a peek through a keyhole. Instead, it is a peek — and more than a peek — into the mind of Hillary. And, whether you like or hate Hillary, the inside of her mind is a fascinating place in which to rove about. Hillary haters will certainly find further evidence to support their sentiment. Principled liberals , I suspect, will be deeply disconcerted by what they will find out about her mind in this book. But for people who like their presidents, ruthless, expedient and very smart (in a dangerous time those are not all bad features), the portrait Mr. Klein paints may well not be seen as negative. In fact, as the author notes, Mrs. Clinton has more than a little in common with Richard Nixon.

That's the long answer- my own short one? Americans were stupid enough to elect, then re-elect, her husband...

People should be very careful about taking an interest in how Hillary Clinton's mind works.

An over-interest in pathology is a pathology itself.

She will have innocent people killed based on ego. Think I'm whacked for making such a statement?

She ordered her husband to bomb Kosovo when her handpicked puppet Albright could not repeat with Milosevich the act of forced settlement that Holbrooke had accomplished previously.

I was surprised to hear that Jerry Falwell said at the Southern Baptist Convention this week, that the Church should do all that they could to stop Mrs. Clinton from becoming president. I am not a Falwell fan, but that was pretty bold.

You really have to thank old Hugh Rodham for raising such a piece of work. Of course he probably emasculated the boys with his man of steel approach to raising kids. It could also be the Stockholm Syndrome with Hillary.

Blankley is correct about this being a good book. I got mine yesterday, and am almost finished reading it. The passages about a so-called rape, Hillary being a lesbian, etc., are being deliberately overblown by the press in order to discredit the whole book. Something like the way Aldrich's book about Clinton was treated in the early 90's. Ridicule the parts that are really not worth reading anyway, in order to discount the whole thing.

If you're someone who doesn't want to read the whole book, get the latest 'Vanity Fair' (with Nicole Kidman's picture on the front). The magazine has excerpted a chapter from Klein's book, and it's most enlightening. And has nothing to do with the salacious stuff.

Too true. It's always the threat that you discount that bites you in the butt. She needs to LOSE in 06 to kneecap her. I know that a majority of NY-ers OUTSIDE of NYC loathe her so it will be interesting to see what happens. I think a strategy of pointing out her faults and bogus political agenda will do FAR MORE than a personal attack that will give her the lunatic moonbat sympathy vote.

Grifters, precisely. You are undoubtedly aware of Bill and Hillary's links to the Travelers, a cult of grifters with roots predating our own colonial period. Explains effectively why they are well outside the moral and intellectual framework of our culture.

But perhaps the most revealing chapters of the book are numbers six through eight, in which Mr. Klein studies Hillary Clinton's child hood. The focus of those years is her father, a former Penn state football star and Navy drill instructor. He raised young Hillary and her two brothers to be tough, excel at all things and fight to win — which Hillary did, literally on a number of occasions punching out boys larger than her who displeased her. Mr.Klein's description of Hugh Rodham Sr.'s parenting methods reminded me of no one so much as Joseph Kennedy Sr. — father of a president and two senators. ,/i>

That's your answer.

Thanks! Anyone who thinks I DON'T recognize the evil in Hillary Clinton is very wrong!

I only pointed out the chapter from the book in case someone wanted to spend $3-4 for the magazine rather than $20 for the whole book. It probably IS one of the more revealing chapters from the book, and gives some insight into Hillary's real soul, intent, and personality.

Keep digging your hole. Most decent people acknowledge making mistakes or apologize for making false accusations like you did with Maria's post #15. Not only have you done neither, you're vulgar remark (above) is uncalled for and shows you have no class.

You need to mind your own business or go back home to DU!

Re: Clinton as Koresh cousin gypsy

As you all recall, the apologists were pointing out that when Francois Mitterand died, both his wife and his mistress were at the funeral along with the children of both. This was held out to be evidence of a superior French attitude toward this sort of thing.

This was all well and good, but even the French would draw the line if Madame and Madamme Mitterand were at the head of a procession that turned into a parade of 500 big haired women with bad makeup, all members of Clinton’s Gypsy family tree.

Here's the situation. He is actually a member of a very small ethnic group that tries to keep marriages within the confines of the tribe. They have so few people they have to do it one man/one woman/one child and move on. See his family for evidence of this. They have been dysfunctional for several centuries.

Note that about 4 years ago a Gypsy group in Kansas City told us that his Grandfather, Billy Blythe, was actually "King of the Gypsies". This is born out by the evidence.

The early colonial period Gypsies and Travelers are fairly unidentifiable in American records. We know they were here but they are not identified as such because this nation was so hospitable to them. We know that Clinton’s grandmother was a fortune teller and traveled with carnivals. So did Bill and his mother when he was young. Also, note Hillary's travel last year: first to the seven sacred hills of Bosnia centered on Tuzla; then to the Church of St. Mary at Ephesus which is the sacred site of Black Sara, patron saint of Gypsies,;then to Athens to visit the Temple of Athena whose totem is the owl, the Gypsy God of Death! Circumstantial? Perhaps, but it is the preponderance of circumstantial evidence that creates the impression of something more than chance.

She also spoke before the assembled elders of the Gypsy community in Budapest. In addition, she is into seances, or at least the semblance of seances. Recall her communion with Eleanor Roosevelt.

Notice also Bill's seeming mis-quotes from the Bible. His Bible is published by the. It is Apostolic and Pentecostal with roots buried deep in central European nomadic cultures. Joseph Smith belonged to it before he formed his own group, the Mormons. In its earliest manifestations the “Church of the First Born” was not Pentecostal, but that has changed.

Some of these churches use peyote as part of the sacraments, having picked up chemically induced trance states in the far East centuries ago. American Indians traded peyote cactus buttons all over North America. Its use ranged far beyond the Southwest. The drug of choice today is, of course, cocaine.

Others within these cults also use the Book of Abraham. David Koresh talks about the Book of Abraham. David Koresh, aka Howell, is, as best can be determined, a fairly closely related cousin to Bill Clinton. He is at least as closely related as Mike McClarty or Vincent Foster.

There is a big Church of the First Born Congregation in Hope Arkansas. For comparative purposes, contrast this group in the Columbus, Nashville, Hope Arkansas triangle with their closely related cousins in the Columbus, Nashville, Seymour Indiana triangle. The Crawford family genealogy records offer a good track on this ? one man one woman one child ? it's simply a way to avoid genetic disease problems in a small group that is forced to inbreed.

Somebody should ask Bill Clinton if he is a Gypsy and did he ever belong to the Church of the First Born or does he know anyone who did. They might be surprised at the answer they get.

I am not a fan either. He reminds me of anything but "humble". When John the Baptist was the voice telling others to "repent", he was honest to the core, including his sandals, basic diet, and desert tent. Jerry Falwell is no John the Baptist.

Anyway, his comments are not going to help Christians or the Republicans, IMO.

I really think the roots of her paranoia and anger go back to her childhood when her father gave her a toaster and a radio as bath toys.

You ask a silly question, you get a silly answer. The Clintons have celebrity status and are the best fund raisers in politics. Hillary is the odds on favorite to win the Presidency in 2008. They have at least the grudging respect of the GOP. I wouldn't call it fear.
