Wait a minute. That means this guy would've had to have sex with a different child EVERY SINGLE DAY for the past 98 years.

`If ever there was a case for the death penalty.
Castration would be just fine..for starters .........
The figures seem unreal though ..30,000 kids? Impossible really...

There was a record of this monster's court appearences.Numerous arrests and even convictions and the usual liberal, soft on crime judges giving this cretin mere slaps on the wrist.
AND,surprise of surprises, his only really long sentence was overturned by the NINTH CIRCUIT COURT OF APPEALS!
This walking demon should have never seen the light of day since his first conviction in 1970.

While this guy is obviously a serial predator, the sheer impossibility of molesting 36,000 children leads me to believe that the diary does not reflect reality. It's probably just a collection of his sick fantasies.

The numbers are too large to be plausible. Did this guy really molest anyone at all or has he been walking around fantasizing and writing his fantasies in a notebook?

Interestingly, not many people notice the figure you just mention. If he did five kids everyday, it still takes about 20 years to accomplish, or if 2-3 kids per day, it takes about 40 years. And he needed to to it consistently without losing a day.

Fantasizing was my first guess when i heard the story, but some of them need to be checked out. Seems like a blending of fact and fiction is his warped mind.

I disagree. The report does not specify 36,000 sex acts with different children. He could have molested several children each day.
Apparently his sick, evil, fantasies were played out using real children. According to the report aired, the authorites have recieved hundreds of phone calls from possible victims, and the information has just been released. 30 yrs.? Who knows where some of his victims are now, if they're even alive.

Dr. James Missett, co-director of Stanford University's Center for Psychiatry and the Law [said,] "It's just monstrous in its proportion...Thirty-six thousand is an awful lot."Gee, it's a good thing we have psyche professors and lawyers to straighten out for us exactly what's "monstrous."

They found a six foot server of kiddie porn. You all should not be expressing disbelief at the numbers, but at the fact a human could even molest one child. Police have not claimed he molested 36,000 kids. And many names are repeated in his index of sickness.
