According to another local report, the guy found in a truck is Lee Yong-soo, a private 2nd class of N. Korean army. He was a 122mm gunner at a platoon under N. Korean Air Defense Command. He left his unit on June 12th. He reportedly said that he came down because he was hungry and tired, so he decided to escape, after watching (S. Korean life) on TV. He crossed the wirefence line at 7am on 13th without being discovered by S. Korean guards on duty. He was familiar with the surroundings around his ecape route. He wandered in valleys and hills of the frontline area until today(June 17th,) going back and forth between the demarcation line and the civilian area which is 3-4km to the south. He wandered around because they kept changing his mind, wondering if he stays in the south or going back to the north.

Someone was trying to defect to the North? I find that very hard to believe.
