Its not an insult to Keeton McClellan Rylander Strayhorn, it is an insult to you and anyone else who who make political decisions based upon such a thin basis.
historically inaccurate
Wrong. Read his book, and find one place where he was not honest or where he was afraid to say what he thought.
you are a liberal troll.
The liberals here are Keeton McClellan Rylander Strayhorn and her supporters.
"Pass the biscuits, Pappy"
>The same can be said of Adolph Hitler. Do you like him too?
to associate carole keeton strayhorn, the comptroller of the state of texas, and possible candidate for governor, with adolph hitler is insulting.
it reflects badly upon yourself,
and this forum.
I see you are still ducking the question. All it takes is a simple yes or no.
HA!
do you agree with par35's statement #58 likening carole keeton strayhorn to hitler?
#58 links carole keeton strayhorn to hitler.
strayhorn is comptroller of the state of texas.
is this acceptable on free republic, or does it lower us to senator richard durbin's level?
Kinky has been meeting with democrats over the past year.
Be carefull with that one.
She is a liberal, and that is becoming increasingly rare in the Republican Party in these parts. She will lose I think. Not to sound cruel, but it's a good thing for the party that she's running, because defeating a moderate just makes it less likely that others will be that way in the future.
Strahorn is a leftist and would be a mess for this party, as she would ignite all sorts of liberal Republicans at the grassroots. That is just one compelling reason why she must be defeated.
Obviously, they hate Rick Perry; that's nothing new. They'd obviously prefer a Rat governor, but how much do they push Strayhorn with tons of praise in the GOP primary?
All the reporters will secretly love Strayhorn, because she's the closest thing to a Democrat that they'll get into statewide office.
I remember being told that she hired Tony Sanchez's (Democrat gubernatorial candidate) press secretary. Am I making that up?
For all of the problems, the Texas Republican Party is probably the closest thing this country has to a hard-core conservative party. I complain from time to time, but not too much, because I want to enjoy this while it lasts.
You can't blame a conservative because he used to be a Democrat 25 years ago. There was no Republican party in the state to speak of.
Now it's the opposite. Some of those previous Democrats were always conservatives, and some of our Republicans have always been liberal.
Strayhorn has never been conservative.
I think I have identified the souce in question
Yes - the pitfall of being the dominant party.
