Reagan tried in 86 to do something about it, but the (spit) federal courts took the teeth out of his 86 immigration reform act and then the flood gates really opened. Bill of course did nothing since he like W a globalist too. I don't expect anything will be done until after the 06 elections, in 06 we get a chance to unelect anyone and everyone that favors open borders.

I wasn't aware that I'd mentioned anyone by name. If anyone feels like the finger is pointing at them, I'd have to question why they feel that way. Guilty conscience perhaps?

Yes Reagan 86 immigratin bill included amnesty for illegals, but it alos include stif fines for employers of illegals, unfortunately the courts refuse to convict employers so the enforcemant part of the 86 bill never happened. Reagan was not an open borders globalist like Clinton and Bush.

The lesson to be learned is that enforcement most come first and then maybe we can talk about reforming the system. No more (empty) promises about enforcement after an amnesty.

I did not mention divorce. Usually people that are in high places do not bring their mistress in to the peoples house while still married. He ran around on two wives, and you can be sure that it will happen again. Rudy is no better that Bill Clinton/

That is what I believe people should do wrt primaries. For example, I voted for Keyes in the Il. primary knowing all along that my vote would be for Bush in the general.

It is rare that we get to vote for one with whom we completely agree on every issue. Maybe never happens. But in a republic that is the facts of life since a winner must appeal to a broad range of voters.

Yep... If Tancredo runs, I would vote for him in the Primary if only to send a message regarding the immigration issue.

Ugh. Some choice...George Allen would make an excellent candidate against the Hildebeast. Keep McVain out of the primaries! A third party vote will only mean a victory for the Dims.

100% agreed with your analysis.

To add, people stating they would vote for Mccain to defeat Hillary had better take a sharp look at those that have said they won't. If It's McCain vs. Hillary, Hillary wins.

Not only would the same press that has created McCain tear him down, but he will NOT have the base united behind him. He will not pull enough Dems/Indy's to compensate. He will lose because I, and others, will NEVER vote for him.

It doesn't matter what some people would do if those were the choices of the parties. It DOES matter that a significant portion of the base is comprised of a ABM sentiment that overrides Hill on a ticket. I will not be cojoled, threatened, mocked, lectured, blasted, bribed, sweet talked etc. into change of position on McCain. Neither will most of the others. Why? It's simple.

Because McCain is considered of comparable 'evil' to Hillary. Only worse. Because he masquerades behind a "R" label.

An over the hill Republican Senator's run for President, gave us four more years of Bill. It appears another over the hill Republican Senator aspires to serve Hillary in the same way.
