Go home George, the Senate is for adults.

Am I the only one who's getting real tired of seeing men (particularly politicians) crying in public?

Great pic!

If this guy was so concerned about Bolton, why didn't he take the time to sit in on the many hours of testimony and debate in the Senate Committee and voice his opinions during those hearings? He blew off almost all of those hearings and then, at the last moment, gives the Dems one more filibuster equivalent "stay" along with his crying jag. Help save us from these RINOS!

The terrorists see being magnanamous and showing mercy as weakness. I wonder how they will see the resolve of the US government after watching Voinovitch blubbering like a little girl because he thinks Bolton is "too mean" to be our UN ambassador...

Agreed. Real men do cry -- appropriately. This wasn't.

I can't read Voinovich's heart. But my guess would be that he was emotional because he'd done something really stupid and wrong, and had dug himself a hole. And like too many in that spot, rather than climbing out, he opted to double his excavation efforts.

He's a professed Christian, I understand. Wish someone would point him to Proverbs 28:13.

The only thing that should be able to make a man cry is putting his balls in a nutcracker.

A Teary-Eyed Rebel Defies Party Leaders

What it should say is: "Defies His Constituents".

I'd be willing to cut him some slack over, say, a death in the family, but politics? Give me a break already.

Sen V seems borderline unstable. The article lists a few other times when he went, alone, out on a limb, seemingly without a decent reason for doing so.

That is not typical behavior, and he's done that several times. Not leading any cause with supporters, etc, or even joining a group with a minority position. Alone.

And he cries over politics.

Ring-a-ding-a-ding-ding!

""A Teary-Eyed Rebel Defies Party Leaders"

Oh yeah...thats what I look for in my 'rebels.'"

Add Voinivich (Rebel) to the MSM he-man list with McCain (Maverick) and Hugo Chavez (Firebrand). The more of a failure you are ("Fail Up" as Rush says) in the eyes of Liberals, the more of a he-man you are.
