WASHINGTON - As the first anniversary of Ronald Reagan's death approaches, backers are pushing to keep the former president's name alive across the nation - immortalized on schools, parks, coins and even Mount Rushmore.

I think either the Mt. Rushmore idea, which the liberals would fight tooth and nail, or the $10 bill, are the best ideas. God bless the Gipper.
I'd like to see President Reagan on the $10 and on Mt. Rushmore. He deserves nothing less
I still like the idea of RWR on the $20. Every ATM hit in the land would honor him.
I still see in my mind the photo of the guy standing atop his green pickup truck holding his hat over his heart as the motorcade went by. I still cry over it.
I remember the teen running alongside the hearse with a large american flag. What a day that was.
God's gift to America. Thank you Lord!
Is there enough space and structural stability on Mount Rushmore to carve Ronald Reagan's image there?
I can't wait to see Reagan on the Ruble!
Go Orange!
Amen. And since his presidency, not one of our national leaders has come anywhere near his stature.
LOL! Not that he doesn't deserve it.
Good point. It gives the $20 an advantage over the $10.
His humility was something special and far exceeded those who serve in any office today.
He did not have an ego.
I doubt he would like the idea of being immortalized in monument.
The $10 means Hamilton gets the boot and the $20 Jackson. The $10 has the Treasury Dept building on the back and the $20 has the White House.
His humility is precisely why he deserves to be carved on a mountain
Your right.
But I want to follow his beliefs, he deserves alot more then what we want, but he was open about what he belived.
I will not be a part of anything that I think he himself would oppose, he is my idol, and his lack of an ego and humility makes it clear, he wanted his ideas and beliefs to last, not his name or memory.
It pains me, but I want to follow what he would have wanted, not me, but him, he deserves monuments, but unlike a certain senator, he didn't want them.
