he wont compete in the race again until team car owners are confeident that he has enough skill to drive the car without crashing it into the wall at turn one wich could be years down the road maybe he should take driving lessons from a woman instead of sitting around bitching like one

I hope she wins just to piss this guy off.
Give her a box of TDU weights and call it affirmative action.
Quit your whining
So, if I put a jockey in one of these cars he will automatically win. Why not put a weight requirement of inverse the weight of your brain to join these races?
"Right off the bat, a guy my size is spotting her 105 pounds," Gordon said. "That's the reason she's so much faster."
Sounds like he's conceding defeat. My suggestion: Give up and become a housewife. Make your spouse bring home the bacon.

Most athletes complain about women competitors because they aren't big and strong enough. Now they complain because they're too small?
Robby ain't doin' so hot on the NASCAR circuit. Maybe he should pipe down and race a little harder.
What a whiner. He's making himself look really petty and foolish.
So should there be weight classes in auto-racing?
It's as unfair as male-against-female in any other sport. He's right.
In my own opinion- so what? If a woman wants to box Mike Tyson, she should be free to try.
I'm on the verge of equating the name "Gordon" in racing to the name "Kennedy" in politics - don't wanna hear it, don't wanna see it, wouldn't EVER vote for it.
Sounds like Robby Gordon's just found something to whine about since he hasn't got a ride. Blame it on somebody else.
"If you're not a race driver, stay the hell home. Don't come here and grumble about going too fast. Get the hell out of the race car if you've got feathers on your legs or butt. Put a kerosene rag around your ankles so the ants won't climb up and eat that candy ass."

Driving lessons from a woman?
LMAO
in an arena where measured speeds are carried out to three places, a whole mile per hour is a LOT over time... that said, it's the CAR that has to meet spec. weight, not the driver. next year if they want to have a spec. weight for car AND driver, so be it... but for now, QUIT YER WHINING!!!SHUT THE F*** up Robby
First of all rack her she doing good so far I don't think she win entire race she has a shot
SHUT F*** UP
Robby needs to remember his extra weight gives him an advantage - more "down" force.
What a big, fat 200-pound-plus whiner!!! If she were 50 pounds heavier and not a babe, he'd have to find something else to whine about!!
Loser!!
I don't understand all the venom against Gordon. He has a point. Patrick is quickly becoming a media darling in large measure because she is female. Indeed she does have a built in advantage. So maybe before the media gets carried away with her being the Billie Jean King of racing they could honestly discuss the weight issue. People root for her as an underdog and are willing to provide her with what may be an unfair advantage. The point is, if NASCAR is going to open up then the rules should change as well to address these issues. It's called fair play and sportsmanship.
Yeah, she's one of the lighter drivers on the track. She's also one of the younger and less experienced drivers on the track. Things even out.

But in a racing league where the cars are almost identical, Gordon should stop his whining and adapt his racing strategy.

what a pansy.
I can see raising the subject of handicapping - like in horse-racing - but refusing to compete is just lame.
Wah. What's next...heavy jockeys complaining about skinny jockeys?
hey gordon: starve yourself.
Question to all: who's got more track time / experience / completed races - Sarah Fisher or Patrick?
Saying an extra 100 lbs in a race car is unfair is like saying a tic-tac in a whale will fill it up.
Why is he complaining? She`s a woman driver. She will start the race by going in reverse, then hit the gas instead of the brake, then hit the cars as they lap her, then blame it on the other cars for getting her way, then complain that this is making her late for shopping.

"They told me it was a ferry boat!"
A fine whine from Robby Gordon.
"Right off the bat, a guy my size is spotting her 105 pounds," Gordon said. "That's the reason she's so much faster."
No, Mr, Gordon; that's why you are so much slower. And if you want to take away a smaller driver's advantage, go on a diet instead of demanding a rules change.
The girl could just as easily complain that her larger-muscled male competitors have a strength advantage, and demand a rule change to "level the playing field" for her, but AFAIK she hasn't.
This has to be just about the most obnoxious lack of class on the part of a racer I've seen in a long, long time.
"I won't race against her until the IRL does something to take that advantage away."
Lose some of your own weight then you whiner.
I hope she trounces him.
A PING for yer interest!
From the land of restrictor plates comes the cry for weight classes. I don't know the physics, and I'll bet Gordon doesn't know half of the factors either. Should we handicap the men because they have more upper-body strength?
2. Check his abysmal record this year in NASCAR ... could this be frustration talking from someone who, throughout his entire driving career, has never IMHO lived up to his potential in any series, and sees himself falling further down the ladder?
3. I don't think Ms. Patrick will win tomorrow because while she's proved she can go fast ... and from watching her, she's TONS better than Sarah Fisher, the most recent "great female hope" in racing ... winning a 500-mile race, especially the Indy 500, requires more than simply going fast, you've got to use your head, you've got to stay out of trouble, you've got to save your car and you've got to get a whole bunch of good luck. If she does win, more power to her.
4. Regarding weight in NASCAR, if you'll check the details, an awful lot of the guys who are making noise right now are small in stature. Not Mark Martin small, but way smaller than the 6-0, 190-pounders you used to have in the good ole days. From the recent photos of Robby, he looks like he ought to push away from the buffet line a little more often. Could there be some frustration talking there as well?
I don't see what Gordon is complaining about. It's not like they're racing real cars anyway. This plastic model car racing is the most boring thing I have ever watched. Wonder what Gordon will complain about if Patrick ever moves to the real circuit of NASCAR
This isn't combat and she's matched physical qualifications to race. Let her run with it and more power to her. :)
Aww, the poor widdle baby-WUSS!!!
At the end of the race there will be 32 losers. If you're afraid of losing, do something noncompetative for a living.
Michael Moore joined in the complaint and was considering EEOC action.
Robbie, how many Indy 500 wins do Janet Guthrie and Lynn St. James have?
The logical end of this process is that NASCAR becomes a sport dominated by slight women, children, and dwarfs. Anorexia will lead to at least one heart-breaking death that will be chronicled in home ec and health classes in middle schools across America. Men, seeking a new masculine spectator sport, will turn to ice dancing.
While his point is correct, it is within the rules... She can race and win if she can. You don't hear anyone saying they should equalize football weights so women can play.

Whine, whine. What about the male drivers who weigh more than Gordon? Is he going to add weights to HIS car to compensate for "his advantage" over them?
Bull because PMS will make her more competitive and probably DANGEROUS besides... I wouldn't compete against her till she has her ovaries removed.. then it might be fair..
Hmmm, weight.. wonder if a jockey would make a good race car driver..
I hope she does well at Indianapolis. Let's face it, she is getting publicity because she is a solid driver who qualified pretty well and she has good looks. That always counts.
I always root for the Rahal-Letterman team. They are based here in Columbus. Bobby Rahal put Columbus on the auto racing map and even brought an Indy race to the city in the 1980's, the Columbus 500. He is one of the best to ever hit the speedway. As an Ohioan and a racing fan (NASCAR and Indy), I hope he can maybe be influential about getting another big speedway here in the state. Mid-Ohio is a nice facility, but I don't think it could attract a NASCAR or Busch race. I believe the Indy cars still race there and at Cleveland Burke Lakefront Airport. Mansfield just got a NASCAR truck race. Hopefully the racing industry can get some events here because there is a market.
