This was not the activist director's first run-in with the law. In 1999, he was also pulled over in Beverly Hills and hashish was found in his car.

Stone, who lives in nearby Santa Monica, pleaded guilty to drug possession and no contest to driving under the influence and was sent to a rehabilitation program.

He just assumes he is better than everyone else, and would never get caught let alone arrested with anything. Halle Berry a while ago with her hit and run drunk accident, and a little while longer, she is awarded with an oscar. I don't think she deserved that either. It gives them the false feeling that they are exempt from any rules of the law.
