I used to like Horsey's cartoons...he draws well, and 4 or 5 years ago it seemed like he would take potshots at any convenient target (even if he did seem to have a liberal tilt). Nowadays he seems to be obsessively anti-Bush and anti-Republican, and the message is usually so strident that it isn't funny.

solidly documented instances of torture and murder perpetrated by American interrogators...

Solidly documented? Like what...videotape of some guys head being removed with a dull knife? No, wait....sorry, that's not the "solid documentation" I was thinking of.

Ditto. The same goes for the P.I.'s Joel Connelly; I used to think of him as relatively even-handed, now he seems rabidly partisan, often unfair, and sometimes completely irrational. As an example of the old Horsey, I remember a cartoon he did when there was the controversy about building a Disneyland in France. The cartoon showed a sophisticated leftist-looking French woman jumping up on a table shouting, "Eeek, a mouse!" as a tiny Mickey Mouse ran across the floor.

You are correct - Drudge got the story after Newsweek
DECLINED to publish it! This fact tells more about
Newsweek than it does about Isikoff.

Horsey is such a jerk. The military understands there have been some problems. They are working them. Most people on the street don't realize that there were already charges against the Abu Ghraib abusers, investigated and filed, BY the military long before the MSM got a hold of the story.

WHAT they don't need is idiots like him making the problem far worse but exaggerating, harping on, and dare I say, inventing accusations...especially when the people the accusations offend feel the need to go out and kill innocents every time they hear of some possible half-a** accusation. Where's his cartoon about that murderous tendency?

The sad thing is that I am sure Horsey thinks he is doing good. He can't understand how he exacerbates the very problems he thinks he is helping to end. He is not ready to sit at the adult table.

True. He personifies the liberal mentality of Seattle liberals. They voted 16% for GWB in 2004.

They are becoming caricatures of themselves.

During World War II, if the press had reported that General Patton slapped soldiers suffering from combat exhaustion, Patton would have been busted in Sicily. Instead, he led the breakout from Normandy that broke the back of the Nazis west of the Rhine.
The press knew about the slapping incident but held back on the reporting the incident. Today, the liberal media will do anything to harm America and the war on terror.
Why? You tell me, buddy.

That's the 64,000 dollar question. Knowing Marxism, the useful idiots like the MSN would be the first to see the $0.06 solution should we fall like the MSN obviously advocate.
