Sisters give birth at 12, 14, 16
Three schoolgirl sisters have given birth aged 12, 14 and 16.
The Williams sisters, who live with their mother in a council house in Derby, feature in a BBC3 documentary called Desperate Midwives.
Natasha, the oldest, Jade and Jemma, the youngest, are reported to receive £600 a week in benefits.
Their mother Julie Atkins, 38, who said the girls were too young and had ruined their lives, blamed schools for providing poor quality sex education.
Mother defiant
Jemma was first to give birth, to T-Jay in February last year, and weeks later Jade and Natasha discovered they were pregnant.
Natasha had daughter Amani in November and Jade followed with Lita in December. The younger sisters are still at school.
Mrs Atkins told the Sunday Mercury: "I don't care what people say about me. I blame the schools - sex education for young girls should be better."
The sisters feature in the BBC3 series Desperate Midwives: The real truth about childbirth, starting from 9pm on Monday.
Episode seven follows a midwife from the Derby City hospital as she helps the family prepare for the third child.
No going back
Mrs Atkins told the Sun that she still found it difficult to believe what had happened.
"They are still little girls and now they have babies of their own," she said. "But I don't care what people say, I love my kids and I'm here to help them.
"If I could turn back the clock, I would prefer them not to have children. Their education is so important."
Two of the girls are no longer in contact with their children's fathers.
Jemma is quoted in the Sun as saying: "I only told my boyfriend David, who was 14 at the time, but I didn't want to have an abortion.
"He was my first love but now I'm gutted because he doesn't want to have anything to do with me or T-Jay."
Natasha, the oldest, Jade and Jemma, the youngest, are reported to receive £600 a week in benefits.
1000 USD in benefits? Talk about subsidizing irresponsible behavior.
Mrs Atkins told the Sunday Mercury: "I don't care what people say about me. I blame the schools - sex education for young girls should be better."
That's right. It's the school's fault that you are not able to keep you daughters under control.
T-Jay, Amani and Lita
No comment.
Two of the girls are no longer in contact with their children's fathers.
There's a big suprise.
I'm just happy none of them "decided" to have an abortion, that is probably more irresponsible than bringing the babies to term.
12, 14, 16, 18,
The Williams sisters aren't waiting...
Remove the Father and Big-Brother takes over.
Somewhere I read that the UK has a big problem with very young girls having babies.
Oh, and isn't it quaint how the school gets blamed. Hey mom, try a little PARENTING, YOU IDIOT!
***...I'm here to help them.***
"Well, sure..." she went on to say, "... I may not have 'been there' for them then, when they needed my help, but now, now I'm really here."
Mrs Atkins, last seen headed to the bank with her youngest daughter, was heard to say, "Oh yes, I'm really here to help them now...".
They have had this problem for a long time. The govt. subsidies are fantastic. They will pay for your apartment and give you money for food & bills. It is free ride. I used to date a man from London & his sister got preganant at 16 so she could move out & get away from the mom (the dad had left them years before). The cycle continues.

Damn, I should learn to type. Apologies for my typos!!!
Nope, nothing to do with poor parenting.
The mother is a product of life long socialist indoctrination...this is what happens when nanny-state socialism infects society.
Did you see the pic of the girls? They look so much older then their ages! (and they are all overweight)
That never happens!
"Their mother Julie Atkins, 38 ..., blamed schools for providing poor quality sex education."
Somewhere Howard and Hilly are licking their lips at the thought that the thought that American voters will become that stupid.
Dumb, dumber and dumberer.
Poor kid. That's what happens when your mother is a 12 year old and gets to name you.
Sounds to me like sex ed did what it was supposed to do: Taught the little skeezers how to do the deed. If she didn't want them screwing around, she should have kept a tighter rein on them. Sounds like a mother from the north side of a city I know only too well....
Not once is the fathers of these girls mentioned...very telling.
In twenty years, at his trial, the people stand around and whisper, "He never had a chance..."
There's just been an interview with the girls and their mother on the ITN News. Same old line - it's nothing to do with the (single) mother, it's all the school's and the government's fault for not educating them.
I can only presume that these three girls are the only three in the country that don't read any of the countless teen magazines on sale. These weeklies, aimed at 13-16 year-olds (and read by much younger) regularly contain explicit advice on contraception, alongside articles about the best way to French Kiss and, believe it or not, "The Truth About Blow-Jobs." (I have four teenage nieces, and their reading matter rarely fails to shock me).
Turns out the oldest has already had two miscarriages and an abortion too. Clearly all Tony Blair's doing.
...Their mother Julie Atkins, 38, who said the girls were too young and had ruined their lives, ...

This is liberalism at its best. A single mother who obviously couldn't raise three children then blame it on society. Get them hooked on gov't aid early and often. This is truly sad.
Jade bears a resemblance to either Alfred E. Neuman or Tony Blair.
Nam Vet
Irresponsible and despicable on the mother's part, and the government is enabling her and her daughters.
This makes me furious.
Exactly what does everyone think is going to happen to these children? They'll have their own children, and the breeding goes on, thanks to the government, the mom, and the daughters. Abortion as soon as possible! -
If it happens again, sterilization is an option.
let the flaming begin.
The 12-year old had a baby in February. The 16-year old had her baby in November and the fun in Febrary. The 14-year old had her baby in December and the fun in march.
She might be able to get away with blaming the school for the 12-year old not knowing where babies come from, but it sounds like the 16- and 14-year olds knew the procedure pretty well even if no one else brought out the instructional manual.
It's true. Maybe the little mommies have learned by example. Maybe they are merely emulating their own mom. but paying them is not going to teach them anything. Nothing at all!
"There's a big suprise."
Here's another:
3 teenage pregnancies - 0 abortions.
You woman, are an idiot. It's not up to schools to teach your children sex ed. That is your flippin' job. And, by the way, you FAILED miserably.
Wouldn't surprise me if their mother is a barfly whore and all three of the girls themselves have different dads.
Considering the generious benefits the British welfare state pays out. I woul not be surprised it these and more girl deliberately get knocked up to go on the dole.
And who's going to teach the babies of the teenagers to abstain? It's a vicious cycle, which could be stopped.
If these girls and their mom can't handle the responsibility of parenthood....
..for mercy sakes, let a loving, childless couple adopt them!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh wait!....then they wouldn't get the money...eh.
Alex I'll take Future NBA player extended families for $200.
The police rarely arrest people who are violent, because the prevailing liberal orthodoxy is that criminal behavior is the result of emotional disturbance, and therefore no criminal can be blamed for his/her actions.
England is now the burglary capital of the world, because the burglars can rob with impunity. Violence against women and children is epidemic, and many underclass women move from violent abuser to violent abuser, rarely willing to examine their own lifestyles and stop being enablers.
The occasional child who wants to finish his education and escape the underclass faces barriers at every turn, from classmates who beat him up for wanting to be different, to govt agencies who have endless money and programs for criminals but none for people struggling to better themselves.
The British physician Theodore Dalrymple's great book, "Life at the Bottom", documents this horrendous problem in detail.
You can't make $1000 a week by having abortions, silly. This is raising bastards for fun and profit, and the nanny state will doubtless get to take care of all of them for the rest of their lives. Some will stay on welfare. Others will be in prison. England is a doomed society.
I was a welfare worker for five years. What you say is compelling. And it compelled me to get the flock outa there!

Yep...my wife is from Manchester and every one of her friends still there is single with one or more kids (if multiple kids, almost invariably from multiple fathers) living in council (i.e. public-funded) housing...which, my wife tells me, you qualify for by having a child out of wedlock
My wife left England just for that reason...a bunch of young women with no goals in life other than to get pregnant whereupon you get your very own council house (well...not really your own...but you get to pretend it is)
Talk about spawning!
Sounds to me like all three of them learned quite a bit, actually.
Ummmmmm...£600 a week in benefits and can't purchase birth control? And keeping your legs closed costs nothing. I just don't get it. [sigh]
Red
Hatch a out a kid every five to seven years or so and almost be set for life.
Guess liberalism pretty much wiped out shame. Look at that picture they all look so smug, 12 for the love of mike when i was 12 i was into riding bikes and watergunning geez lawheez where have kids gone.
You have learned a valuable lesson here. Get the RING and the LICENSE before you make babies. Now, don't make the same mistake a second time. Use the help the government and charities give you to make something of your life for your son, and don't get caught with your pants down a second time.
There's an old song, "You Gotta Shop Around" that says it real clear. That's SHOP, not sleep.
Already these freeloaders get the attention they crave by having their picture in a newspaper or tabloid.
Next the poor taxpaying folk of England will be told (by the media) how hard it is raising a little one and making sacrifices....
..it will be a frontpage bleeding heart story.
No where...no way....will any of these liberal rag newspapers ever suggest some childless couple could give these babies the home they deserve.
These babies didn't ask to be welfare recipients, but you can be sure they will, if no one intervenes.
