Aren't those two goals incompatible? If you are pro-immigration you can't very well be pro-labor, since the cheap labor provided by immigrants drives down wages, or at least prevents wage gains, for American workers.

I'm not an economist by any means, but it seems to me that the pro-labor people should be the most anti-immigration people.
