If this guy's expressed motive is true, I'll add him to my list of personal heros.
Hollywood libs never thought that there would be consequences!
Yeah, what you said!
HATS OFF AND A CRISP SALUTE TO IKE BOUTWELL

I agree. Wonderful he's taking a stand. Would that other theater owners would follow suit.
Once again, my friend, you beat me to it.....I agree, as usual. :) Have a great day!
They are few and far between, and there are plenty of good conservative actors that could take their place that are currently being repressed by the leftists.
One could say that once in a blue moon, the leftists make a good movie. Most of it is crap. They even buggered up The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy. (Hint, don't waste your money on this film.)
Somebody get an address. I will send this man the price of the movie FOR NOT SHOWING IT!!! It is the least we FReepers can do to show our appreciation for his stance!!! I'll send him $10, no $20, for my wife also cause she would not go see a Fonda movie either.
I'm not so sure. Say what you will, leftists are generally more creative and better at the arts. It's not an absolute truth, but a generally true stereotype.
Kentucky ping?
"There are a lot of good movies out there with leftist actors. I'd submit "The Shawshank Redemption" starring Tim Robbins as a prime example."
Sometimes I just try to repress my disdain for these leftists in order to view one of their films.
didn't know 'fondoffski' had a new movie out
Same here. Also, when my wife and I went to see "Meet the Fockers", which had Barbara Streisand in it, we made sure we donated the same amount we spent on the movie to a good conservative candidate in our town. Kinda a karma balance we though. :-)
Not necessarily so. There are thousands of fine actors in this country who would shine in movies if given a chance, people with and people without political views. Ditto writers etc.
Same thing was said about the "replacement players" during the Major League Baseball strike in the 90's.
Since this guy owns the only two theaters in the county, I doubt he took much of a financial hit.
Louisville is just 30 miles up the road from Radcliff.
To IKE BOUTWELL! From one Kentuckian to another: SALUTE!
I like Ike.
