SOUNDING OFF
- Say NO To The New Warren Beatty Blog!

Now that the launch of Arianna Huffington's new group blog is barely a week away, it seems like a good time to pose that oh so important intellectual question that has lingered, unspoken, for an entire generation: does anyone really want to know what goes on in Warren Beatty's mind? Personally, I'd have to answer in the negative.
There was, to be fair, a certain amount of pop psychology appeal to trying to deduce how or why Warren might have developed into the narcissistic ego-maniac at the center of singer Carly Simon's 1973 hit "You're So Vain".....

FWIW, Carly Simon has said that "You're So Vain" was NOT written about Warren Beatty.

Warren Beatty: Star and Director of "REDS", the only Hollywierd movie to unabashedly and sympathetically tell the story of John Reed, the only American buried in the Kremlin.

Are these people still alive? If so, does anyoine outside of California even care.
I doubt it.
Beatty is better off spending his time checking for insights via his detective's wrist radio.

...but I forgot Madonna was in that movie.Ha! I'm sure you're not the only one. She seems to leave that impression on most moviegoers.
But to be honest, I'm not familiar with anything else he's ever been in, either!

You're So Vain" was NOT written about Warren Beatty. Wasn't it supposedly based on the combined 'qualities' of Mick Jagger, Kris Kristofferson and James Taylor?
