The wife and I were talking about that very thing this morning. I predict ten years. I think it's a money matter.
The network news divisions have long been a loss leader to the rest of the network. How much longer will the suits pay out good money for a loss leader that brings in fewer and fewer customers?
Got some bad ink in the Wall Street Journal today. Related to "guest-experts" being paid to hawk products and not disclosing it.
You only need to watch her for a few minutes any morning to determine that. If I want to get my day off to a crappy start, all I have to do is watch the Today Show for a few minutes and then my whole day is ruined by Ms. Sourpuss. Nobody wants to wake up to that.

Tom Touchet is NOT the reason I stopped watching the Today Show after Katie Couric's first week. Just a clue to NBC.
She's going to be even more of a sourpuss this morning, after last night events in Rome!!! (hahahahaha)
I'd rather have J. Fred Muggs back instead of Katie Couric. His salary would certainly be less than $15 million a year. And he would be more interesting to watch.
And he's available. Apparently he's still alive and living in retirement in Florida.
