When a "Sister" spews this type of nonsense, is it a sin? Is participating in activities that directly conflict with the church a sin? What is the difference between advocating for this or advocating to be able to take a husband?

I'm not Catholic, so clearly I am not able to answer these questions. Any of you Catholic Freepers care to enlighten me?

A lot. I'm pretty sure she isn't interested in men, if you know what I mean.

Generally, people who have these behavior disorder are put on the "ignore" list by genuine Catholics.

Some of these behaviorally-challenged folks are FReepers, however. Then they get response--exactly what they asked for.

I don't think it is a sin. These are her opinions and don't necessarily go against the commandments given to us by God or Jesus. I think you would have to consider her opinions and beliefs as a whole to determine whether or not what she says goes against Church teaching, though, and whether or not she is really a Catholic.

It's heretical. It may be a sin, depending upon her level of ignorance, but we're all sinners.
