Protect Military recruiters in Berkeley, California

Posted on 04/18/2005 9:37:47 PM PDT by Thunder90

From the Protestwarrior Website:

This Thursday the "Berkeley stop the war coalition" and other on-campus anti-war whiners are holding an anti-military protest in an effort to kick recruiters off campus. The local college republicans need your help to show our support for our troops!

The protest begins at 10:30 am in Sproul Plaza, the main square on campus, and our rally begins at 11 am. Please bring signs, American flags, wear patriotic t-shirts, etc and lets show them how it's done.

There will be media presence including conservative filmmaker Evan Maloney (creator of "brainwashing 101").

"You sleep under the blanket of protection which I provide, and then question the manner in which I provide it" -Col. Nathan R. Jessep, A Few Good Men

Yes, another attempt by radicals to kick military recruiters off a campus. We must have a nationwide effort to counter their sick attempts.

The hate-America rally takes place this thursday.

The question in my mind is do we really want Berkeley students in the US Army?

Aren't these the same moonbats worried about a draft? So, isn't it foolish to try to stop people from voluntarily joining the military? Typical libtards.

Surely, the military doesn't recruit many people from Berkeley, do they?

Move those recruiters to someplace less expensive to live and work, where the expense is justified by the number of quality recruits.

Like Madison, there are some people there who are actually rational. They have a conservative newspaper and a ProtestWarrior chapter, and a large College Republican chapter.

Then if they want our help, we should help them.

In October 31, 1974, I visited an Army recruiting station in Oakland, California.

That evening, I had the most horrifying Halloween I have ever experienced!

Twenty years later, I retired from the Army.

Why would the military even waste its time in that bastion of anti-Americanism?

At least a couple of years ago, Cal had one of the most active campus Republican groups around.

There are good people there worth standing up for.

Hey, folks! California is the most populous state and Cal is our best public University. There are all sorts of good students there, in addition to the leftie dingbats. I went to Cal and I'm pretty darned conservative. And yes, I'll be there at my alma mater tomorrow! Go Bears!

Can't these men be allowed to carry a sidearm? With live ammo?

... And a 'throwdown'?

I went to Cal too in the days that ROTC was a required course for all Freshman and Sophomore males. The men (who weren't interested in flying) all tried to get in the NROTC because the Navy uniform was a sure chick magnet. Those white hats with the scrambled eggs were show stoppers. The men all had to wear their uniforms on Mondays to class, and they looked so handsome! My husband transferred to Cal from Northwestern in his Junior year, so he missed out on the whole ROTC gig and was never drafted either. He was handsome too -- even if he didn't have one of those spiffy NROTC uniforms.
