In this photo released by the Vatican newspaper L'Osservatore Romano, an unidentified member of the Vatican staff takes an oath of secrecy in front of Cardinal Camerlengo Edoardo Martinez Somalo, left, during a ceremony in the Apostolic Palace at the Vatican, Friday, April 15, 2005. Housekeepers, car drivers and other people with access to cardinals during the conclave took an oath of secrecy Friday, promising never to reveal the details of the politicking and infighting behind the selection of the next pope. The AP are a bunch of pigs, slavering for slop.
Of course there will be disagreements amongst the cardinals, but we may presume (I intend to) that they will be courteous (absent the gossip-mongering press). And like any good family, once the disagreements are ironed out they will present a smooth front to the world . . . which is as it should be. Don't wash your dirty linen etc. etc. etc.
