John O'Neill "tremendously honored" by song honoring the SwiftVets -- ONE FINE SOLDIER

What a thrill. John O'Neill, the man who led the group that kept John Kerry out of the White House, left me a great message today.

Yesterday, I left a message on his machine asking where I could send him a copy of YOU'VE BEEN FREEPED, Vol. 1, which contains the song that honors the Swift Vets --- ONE FINE SOLDIER.

John said that he loved the song and was "tremendously honored." His son burned a CD and added it to his favorite songs.

He also said he would never forget and and all the guys (I presume his Swiftee pals) loved it.

Uncleshag took the lyrics and did an MP3. Many of you have heard it. The new album with this song was professionally done in studio with uncleshag's band.

Note to John O'Neill --- no, John, what you did we will never forget. You served your nation honorably many years ago. When your country needed you again, you got out of your hospital bed (after donating a kidney to your wife) and went on a grueling road trip around the country. We are forever grateful to you and your guys. As the song says --- "John O'Neill and the SwiftVets...you will never know finer men."

The album is outrageous. You will love hearing a song about Joe Biden's hairplugs. A strong woman with a gun telling a rapist --- "If you dare to take the chance...I'll shoot off something in your pants." Boxer eviscerated by Condi. Teddy Kennedy driving down the road with Mary Jo and asking her to pass him another bottle of Chivas. I have to tell another heartwarming story about John O'Neill. Before the election, I put up a post about planning to attend a booksigning of UNFIT FOR COMMAND he was doing at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

A FReeper from Wisconsin contacted me and asked if I would get him a book and one for one of his employees. His employee had worked for him for seven years and never mentioned his Vietnam service until the SwiftVets came forward.

The FReeper even paid for my attendance at the book signing. I had O'Neill sign the book for the vet: James, to my comrade in arms. Finally, welcome home.

The Wisconsin FReeper told me that when his employee got the book and saw what was written, he was overcome and had to go be by himself for awhile.

That is one of the things the SwiftVets did for so many Vietnam vets. They finally got a real welcome home when the man who told all the lies about them was kept out of the White House.
