"Hi Norm, what's up?"
Norm retorted: "Everything that should be."
Yep, male pride... gotta love it.
You are right, of course. But there is one GIGANTIC problem. It's too dang cold up there. Even in Manila, I can still go ice skating. I thought it was funny, when most of those Filipinos on the ice, stopped, just to watch me skate.
I've always liked this one best:
"How's it going Mr. Peterson?"
"It's a dog eat dog world, Woody & I'm wearing Milk Bone underwear."
Thanks for the giggles. :)
,,, LOL! Superb!
Holy castration!
According to my Christian friends, Jesus is God, and Jesus is/was a man. At least that is what the people who last saw him in the Bible said:
Acts 1: 9-11
9. And when he [the resurrected Christ] had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.
10. And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;
11. Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have see him go into heaven.
Now, unless someone has seen Jesus since then, I think we are safe to assume that he is (still) male.
If Jesus is God's son, how is God Jesus!
Sucks to be Him.
Great question. Do any of our Christian friends want to chime in?
Come on Diana & Shaggy. This is an infinite concept, that we try to understand with our finite minds. I don't think there are words to truly describe it and I don't think we can ever truly understand it, but I accept it.
Your answer is, our finite minds cannot comprehend the exact relationship between God and His Son Jesus. That is why we are exhorted to have faith. Faith is what sets a true Christian apart from an person who merely believes Jesus was a man who walked the earth two thousand years ago. If you do not have faith in the words of the Bible (including all the numerous clear references to God as being "male"), then you have some soul-searching to do.
May God bless you in that endeavor.
Thank you for your kind words.
,,, me too. Faith is a gift.
,,, consumer debt is why we perceive ourselves to be so well off today.
What was the question?
The question was in posts 46 and 48.
