I wonder how this distance calculation is affected by the changes to the speed of light and the rate of isotope decay that many FReepers believe in.

Good get. And now a few bars of "Me and My Shadow." And a tip of the hat to Mrs. Calabash, wherever she is.

...a[n Inca] girl who was sacrificed at age 15... Not that there's anything wrong with that.
After all, who are we to judge other cultures. They are just as valid as we are, aren't they?
Note to knee-jerkers: this is sarcasm.

"Researchers have applied a unique nuclear analytic technique to pottery found at an ancient burial site high in the Andes mountains, and believe that the girl buried at this site was transported more than 600 miles in a ceremonial pilgrimage - revealing some customs and rituals of the ancient Inca empire."
So let me get this straight: in years to come if they find someone buried with objects that say "Made in China", they will believe that that person was transported from China?
Did I miss something?

Inca Pinga. Hahahahahahahaha!
You made my day. Just told my ex this and he guffawed as loudly as I did.
VERY good and thank you!

Apparently the good scientists believe that trade was developed in the great satan after 1776. Boggles the mind does it not?

Whoa. It sure does.
[Why does this feel like a scene from Bill and Ted's Great Adventure? I'll bet So-crates could explain it.]

Given your age, I am amazed that you were familiar with the details of Kimmy Durante's career. Are you reincarnated?

Are you reincarnated? Nah. Just have crammed my brain full of useless knowledge all my life. LOL

"I wonder how this distance calculation is affected by the changes to the speed of light and the rate of isotope decay that many FReepers believe in." Not at all, because the radioactive isotopes created are all short-lived ones created by bombardment of the sample with neutrons. "Creation science" theories of relativity not germane to the situation.
