I think Dowd hit the nail on the head in this column. She has really put DeLay in his place. In fact I have a wart I want him to get involved in!!!

Maybe people could afford healthcare if we could get rid of frivolous lawsuits brought forth by shyster lawyers like John Edwards.
Maybe people could afford healthcare if we had control over illegal immigration and the services provided to them (but we have GW Bush who calls the minutemen on the border "vigilantes").

Dowd claims that there's been some sort of credo in place that dictated that a person's relationship with God should remain a private matter.
Not in my church; maybe in hers, but those people should be run off the North American continent anyway.
The Hebrew Prophets spoke frequently of Dowd's church and encouraged honest people to burn the bones of it's priests on their own altars.
