Maybe the judge fears that Terri could accept water and food via the mouth, if he didn't he could sure remove all doubts that he personally sentenced her to death. If this judge allowed the parents to give her water and food via her mouth and she dies as a result then he would not be held responsible.
The judge's motives thus are suspect.

Be nice and thank him for what he has done so far. I believe that some of what was said about the Florida Republican senators before they had even voted (by RT) may have forced them into the wrong vote.
A lot of the usual suspects .
Thanks for the post. Rats photos now on file.
Patrick Kennedy! Great. A disabled carpetbagger voting to kill a disabled woman.
I certainly would have liked to know where Christopher Reeves would have stood on Terri's fight???
We were just talking about Christopher Reeve as an example of how a life-threatening injury can change your view of "If I'm ever in that position, pull the plug."
Remember, the end of "Johnny, Got his Gun," where the wounded veteran is sending the message, "Kill me" via Morse Code with his eyelids?
Well, that scene about a disabled person wanting to be killed was not written by a disabled person, it was written by a very healthy person.
Similarly, before his injury, Reeve probably felt that if he were to lose control of all bodily functions and require a respirator, that he would not want to live that way. Yet, with the support of his wife and family, he very much did want to live as his paralysis.
This would have been a good time for his wife to make that point publicly.
