Stalin's Gulag, according to the LA Times Editorial Staff:

I was listening to El Rushbo when he quoted the piece:

"Republican leaders, eyeing an opportunity to appease their radical right-wing constituents--"

GOP leaders DON'T HAVE TO appease their base...they won the election by 3.5 million votes.....they ARE THE MAJORITY.

Ascribing the name of Stalin (or Hitler) to your opposition implies your opposition is responsible for the murders of millions of victims. It is so far over the top that it only demosnstrates that YOU are totally nuts. The LA Times long ago broke down the traditional barrier between the editorial page and the news pages. Less than two weeks ago they produced an incredibly fawning portait of that workers' paradise, North Korea and its benevolent father, Kim Jong-il. Their inability to separate their opinions from the new during the 2004 election was painfully obvious. Their last minute front page hit pieces against Arnold Schwartzenegger in our recall Gray Davis election was textbook smear journalism. The LA Times should only be accepted as a source of amusement. They are not capble of reliably delivering the news.

We "right-wingers" have been saying for forty years that when the acknowledgement of God is unceremonially dumped as a foundation of our society, monsterous evils are possible. That's what we're seeing in Florida -- a monsterous evil -- and the LA Times is oblivious to it.

I`m not sure they are oblivious to it.I would maintain they have no choice. They are devotees of humanism as a religion and marxism as a governing order. They follow the father of all lies and have to choose evil.

"Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do.He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie,he speaketh of his own;for he is a liar and the father of it." John 8:44.

I sure hope the LA Times subscriptions keep dropping. They could definitely be vulnerable to internet based competition for covering local news. Such competition would not require expensive printing presses and would not have to string stories along to sell the next issue.

LOL, the Times just hasn't a clue when it comes to self-destruction. Bring it on LAT, we couldn't ask for more.

The l.a. times et. al. would be in favor of Federal intervention to save Schiavo, if she was a convicted killer about to be executed. Then the feds would be "protecting her rights".

It's articles like this that make me glad that we own most of the guns.
Stalin would have disarmed us long ago.
Wait a minute! Isn't that what the Left has been trying to do?

Right to die is if she had expressed wishes that were being denied, wishes that were in document, in court, in a living will or what have you and if her own wishes were being denied then it would be a right to die case. That's not what this is. This is a right to kill, a right to terminate, whatever

Attention, all leftists (and pro-murder "conservatives" littering the place these past few days):

OWNED, by the Mighty Rush Man.
