This Saturday, March 19 in Fayetteville, North Carolina, the Old North State Chapter of Free Republic is holding a rally to support our troops.
The rally will serve as a counter-demonstration of a so-called antiwar rally being held that same day in Fayetteville.
This small town in North Carolina is being targeted by the anti-American left because it is the home of Fort Bragg. The leftists are trying to undermine the morale of military families and the soldiers stationed there.
Freepers will be holding a peaceful, law-abiding demonstration in support for our troops and their mission fighting the war on terrorism in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere.
The rally will begin around 11 a.m. on the high ground across from Rowan Park in Fayetteville. It will end around 4 p.m.
Please bring American and service flags, as well as signs bearing messages of support for our troops and their mission. Local rules limit the size of signs to 2 feet by 2 feet.
More info can be found here.
AP said there was about 50 people there.........more like 150 by my count...
And then I will post something about how diet Vernors is really good and find myself hip deep in a flame war.
Vernors.. wish there was a place that stocked it here!
One thing I miss about being in Ohio.
The ready availability of Vernors.
(Vernors and vanilla ice cream in a tall glass..)
I saw about 32.
And a few who stuck here while posting there.
*snort*
Nice seeing you! We just made it home about half an hour ago. Exhausting ... I hope to get James to bed *shortly*!
IT was great to meet you and everyone! Thanks for the hospitality! You are so kind. Great job getting that organized!
TaxRelief was the organizer ... I just provided a good part of the crowd :-).
Tax Relief.. Tax Chick.. can you tell I need to get some sleep!
We look a little alike. TaxRelief is (ahem) five years older than I am, and proportionally more distinguished.
Good night, and keep well - hope we see you again!
Nice to meet you Diva Betsy Ross! Looking forward to the photos, too!
Hi Heartless.
lol
. when I moved away from Ohio, I too missed the vernors and my son missed the HoHos .. (we moved to Winston Salem).. I think the HoHos have found their way there but not yet the vernors. I have been back in Ohio for quite a few years.. vernors is about the only good thing here I can think of today. Weahter surely isn't!
Looking forward to finding some after action reports.
LOL!
Calls for a new tagline.
I could go for a Vernors right now.
I'll simply refer to him as "Lucky guy"...
