On this I agree with Kyle. I do believe in miraculous healing, but not on command by people like Hinn.

The poor are too often easily led to believe being rich is what God wants for us.

It has been hard for me to get through to such people that God wants what is best for us and that doesn't mean He will give us all of our desires.

There is nothing wrong with earning money nor of desiring to be able to give more away once had, but there is plenty wrong when a "church leader" equates holiness with riches and holds himself up as an example of that for which to strive.

It more likely is an example of greed masked by sheep's clothing.

On previous threads regarding him there have been a shockingly large number of FReepers supporting Hinn, actually.

Hinn is coming here to Oklahoma City, and churches are already promoting his crusade. Why?

Maybe he doesn't believe in evilution ... (/sarcasm)

$500,000 and $1 million a year... If that is all keeps from the earnings of his church, he turns more back percentage wise to the ministry than most faiths.

He's not my style, but I don't know that he is a fake either.

. . .going after Benny Hinn is kind of like shooting fish in a barrel

You think it's easy going after him? He has retained one of the most prominent defamation lawyers in the US to protect him from any claims or accusations. (This is the same attorney who works for Sidney Blumenthal and and James Carville, so you might be able to construe where his political sympathies lie.) One California pastor who has tried to alert people to Hinn's dishonesty is in serious legal trouble now as a result. I've no doubt he will be ruined.

One can only hope that Benny Hinn will one day have to face crushing back pain or perhaps colon cancer. To whom will he turn then? Jesus? I think not. I don't think that Benny Hinn believes in the healing power of Jesus' love anymore than I believe in the healing power of Benny Hinn's cash.

Benny once told people to set their dead loved one's in front of the TV with their hands on the set and he would get them to heaven. He went on to say this offer was not valid in the USA.

In a recent interview with CT, Hinn, whose books Good Morning, Holy Spirit and The Anointing have sold 1.7 million copies combined, said he stands behind the Melodylaiid statement.

"The Bible warns us clearly that we must not attack men of God no matter how sinful they may have become or wicked in our eyes," Hinn said. ...

I will tell you under the anointing now, you'll reap it in your children. You'll never win. ...And you children will suffer.
You're attacking me on the radio every night; you'll pay, and your children will. Hear this from the lips of God's servant. You are in danger. Repent, or God Almighty will move his hand.

..." That is what Hinn told an audience on August 7 at Melodyland Christian Center in Southern California.

LOL what an idiot

It's kind of funny watching him touch then people who the fall down into the waiting arms of his stagehands.People who have different religious beliefs are entitled to do what they want as long as it's not hurting other people. My friend's father who couldn't stop drinking was able to find the strength to quit through a healer named Grace Of Vessels or something like that.I'm sure they make a bundle of money doing what they do but at least they end up helping some of the people.

TRUE STORY: I am in the most expensive hotel in Manila, Philippines, when the advance team comes in for Benny Hinn.

Yes, this hotel where single rooms are $175 per night and suites start at $250 per night (and go up from there) is where Hinn and his brigade will be staying.

Binny Henn is a nutcase, and gives Christianity a very bad name. He's a false prophet, and I wish this sensational crowd of his would cool it. Hinn really needs to get put in his place, too. If you ever read half the stuff this loon ever does...

And by the way, I'm a born-again Christian, with Jesus firmly in my heart, in control of my life. I'm not a Christian-basher, but I know a counterfeit when I see one.

I've been able to stand watching Benny Hinn only a couple of times. Next to his being able to attract people in droves, the greatest miracle about him is his hair. I've not seen anything else like it in Nature.

Two incidents I remember, one funny, one not. The funny one was when a rather large sister was "slain in the spirit" and rolled off the stage, taking the two big bouncer types down with her.

The other was when Benny got some kind of blowback when he chucked his power toward the audience. He sort of jolted and was knocked back a few steps and muttered to his aids something like "did you see that?" He seemed genuinely stunned.

I think there is something real going on with Benny Hinn. But I'm going to leave it to others to speculate exactly what it is.

I don't know how I feel about this...people want to believe in something. They get something out of it, or else, they wouldn't go. And anyone who thinks they can be healed by the touch of a hand is really at their last resort, so how can it hurt? I can think of lots worse ways to spend one's money. OK, flame away!

Protestant churches promoting the likes of Benny Hinn, Al Sharpton, and Gay Bishops.

And they left the Catholic Church because the Pope was bad.

Hinn and people like him do a disservice to the spread of the Gospel of Christ.

I have advise to people who listen to TV preachers....

Turn off the TV and go find a local preacher to follow. And don't believe evrything that a preacher says without investigating it first.

the initial thought when someone sees the extravagant crusades of Hinn is that he's harmless.

Well… this lying and crooked thief is not “harmless.” With the aid of the Crouchs this cretin and other hucksters turn more people away from God each year than Satan and sin.

There’s a special place in Hell for this blasphemer.

It looks like Benny Hinn finally got his just rewards. There is a new thread today on the FR about Benny Hinn traveling to Nigeria and getting scammed to the tune of about 4 million bucks. I find this HILARIOUS. Everybody else gets scammed long distance by the Nigerians. But not Benny. NOOOOOO!!! That sucker actually TRAVELED all the way to Nigeria and then was angrily shocked to find out he got scammed.
