"Heart" trumps "head" with the emotionally (and spiritually) immature, so --- wisdom may as well save his breath. And that's a fact.

I agree that people follow their emotions which is the big problem. They rely on what they feel instead of what God's word actually says. In that they do not apply God's word to their lives.

You can have knowledge and be absent of wisdom (take a quick look around this world and you will see that). Is'nt a definition of wisdom the right application of knowledge?

People may "know" what God's word says, and yet not allow that knowledge to change their "hearts" to be in line with His will or His heart (or put more simply - they remain disobedient to God's word, because they let their "feelings" be the Lord of their life instead of Jesus Christ].

If one is truly saved, that salvation cannot be lost [John 10:28-30, Ephesians 1:13, 1st Corinthians 6:20, 2nd Corinthians 1:22). So if Satan can't get your soul he goes after your mind to make you ineffective for the cause of Christ.

Read the Epistles of Paul in the Bible and see how many times Paul warns us to keep watch over our minds. The only way we can do that is to know and apply God's word to our lives.

Most certainly don't forget to pray for the decieved.

To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.

And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.

And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.

John 10:3-5

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

John 10:27

Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

Proverbs 4:23

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another ...

Colossians 3:16

He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me:...

John 14:21

Hinn has said a number of other whoppers and I think it's best that everybody knows what Hinn teaches.

A little reading goes a long way. Hinn is so far out there he can't even be classified as a charismatic.

Is there a person with credibility that thinks Benny Hinn really blows on people, and they fall over like dominoes! You have to be retarded or intoxicated by Jesus fever to think that this joker is not pulling your leg.

I was driving in an upscale gated community near Orlando one day, and was astounded by a house that is too fancy, and too elaborate then all the houses in that area. It looked like Cesar Palace with gory statues all over the driveway, I asked the real estate agent who lived there, he said it was Benny Hinn. The dude that has creative combing of his hair, and most of the TV evangelists that look like pimps, are in it for the money. They lie in the name of Jesus, and simpletons believe them.

It would have stayed in that good condition if Adam and Eve hadn't chosen to disobey God.

If you told your children not to eat from certain tree, and they did, would you be pissed at them? How long would you be pissed? Would you be pissed at your grand children, and great grand children because of that one mistake? I will venture to say that most of us mortals would not be as pissed as God did in this story! Are we better than god? Do we love our children more than God loves us? I will venture to say no; however, this whole Adam and Eve story may be fabrication. If it was true, then, I am going to think that most of us are better than that God.

Your kids are lucky to have you :~)

Bakker seemed as tho he changed when he first got out of prison. Didn't last long.

Bakker hasn't changed "his ways". That's not to say that I have knowledge he still engages in unnatural sexual perversions (that's the best way I can put it). Maybe he thinks that's all he had to repent for? Maybe he thinks that God is blessing him abundantly AGAIN? A leopard doesn't change spots.

Will God hold US accountable if we blindly endorse those who twist his word to benefit themselves? I think he will. Most of these evangelists wouldn't think twice about taking a poor widows last dime and spending it on luxuries for themselves.

Compare the slick televangelists with the almost saintly man named Billy Graham, who lives a plain life in a log cabin, pays himself a small salary and knows the value of simple humility. I believe in him.

NOPE! Not your responsibility to "expose" anyone! It's up to the LEADERS OF THE CHURCH to take care of the problem.

I had said in an earlier post that BH had credentials in the Assemblies of God. A little more research indicated that Hinn withdrew from the AofG in 1996, following heretical teaching by Hinn. It is very likely that he did this pre-emptively to avoid any tarnishing of his career by having them removed by the denomination. Since about the same time, the Assemblies of God - Japan, Canada and Italy have all rejected Hinn and his teachings. Other pentecostal organizations have also dropped their support of him.
Now it seems Hinn (and followers) want no one to question his leadership, however, he refuses to submit to the leadership that at one time was placed over him. Is something smelling here?

You neglected to copy the part of my post that applies to you. Here it is again:

"Many people worship a "better" god, though. The god they worship is able to live up to their more righteous standards. Their god would NEVER allow that evil stuff to happen."

Well, I don't know if I have credibility but there is an actual spiritual force that is NOT a holy force. Creepy stuff to be sure.

I don't know what you are talking about. If you are trying to say that there is a super natural force, I agree that there is. But Benni Hinn is not the guy that can harness such force. He is simply is showman, and since he uses Jesus name, most simple minded people who love Jesus would not dare doubt him.

I thought there was one in Titus, and now that I have had the time to look it up, here it is:

For the overseer must be above reproach as God's steward, not self-willed, not quick-tempered, not addicted to wine, not pugnacious, not fond of sordid gain, but hospitable, loving what is good, sensible, just, devout, self-controlled, holding fast the faithful word which is in accordance with the teaching, so that he will be able both to exhort in sound doctrine and to refute those who contradict. For there are many rebellious men, empty talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision, who must be silenced because they are upsetting whole families, teaching things they should not teach for the sake of sordid gain. Titus 1:7-11

Also, I looked up in some of my reference bibles and found these interesting cross references also:

"He who is faithful in a very little thing is faithful also in much; and he who is unrighteous in a very little thing is unrighteous also in much. Therefore if you have not been faithful in the use of unrighteous wealth, who will entrust the true riches to you? And if you have not been faithful in the use of that which is another's, who will give you that which is your own? No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth."

Now the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, were listening to all these things and were scoffing at Him. Luke 16:10-14

Therefore, I exhort the elders among you, as your fellow elder and witness of the sufferings of Christ, and a partaker also of the glory that is to be revealed, shepherd the flock of God among you, exercising oversight not under compulsion, but voluntarily, according to the will of God; and not for sordid gain, but with eagerness; nor yet as lording it over those allotted to your charge, but proving to be examples to the flock. And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory. You younger men, likewise, be subject to your elders; and all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, for GOD IS OPPOSED TO THE PROUD, BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE. 1 Peter 5:1-5

He is simply is showman, and since he uses Jesus name, most simple minded people who love Jesus would not dare doubt him. Did you read through the websites? If you did, you will see that, yes, I am saying that there is likely a supernatural force. BUT.. the force is not from God, but from the spiritual darkness. It is demonic.

It is the same "force" in the man with the evil spirit in Mark 5 whose "strength" keep growing so that he could no longer be held in chains. It is the same "force" that controlled many of the demoniacs in scripture. It is the same "force" that is channeled by pagans and has been for ages in a multitude of ways. Like levitating tables or people - not all are charlatans, although many are. Like poltergeist and telekinetic stuff. It is the same "force" that allowed Pharoah's magicians to create the first few plagues in Exodus. It is also the same force that Mesmer used - and it is also uncanny how mesmerization uses the same techniques and has the same results as Hinn also.

I do agree with you that he is a showman and because he uses the name of Jesus, people will believe him. But I also think that, willingly, conciously or not, he also harnesses the power of evil for his own gain.
