Actually the Washington Compost was the first to do a "news" article on Condi that was entirely about--you guessed it, her clothes.

Dowd rarely gets out of the office these days, but evidently sits at her desk, drinks, and pours out her columns from somewhere inside of herself. I won't say where.

Evidently she read the Post column and saw the pictures, between drinks.

It wasn't original, either. It was based on the WaPo fashion editor's column.

If MoDo had offered the comments with a zing and a chuckle it might have lent a bit of normalcy to her, but she said it with utmost seriousness and a leaden affect.
