Hillary really is built up by the media but she will have a hard time. Notice how she avoids any serious debate or speaking out on issues.

Hillary is as hollow as a thong!

Is there any doubt why Slick Willie outsourced her "job"?

Well, she's got a real Hobson's choice coming up if she plans to run for re-election for senator. Does she or doesn't she tell the truth about her plans for '08? And if she does tell the truth, if that's possible, would anyone believe her?

She's screwed. Bwah hah hah hah hah.

Perhaps Sid "vicious" Blumenthal arranged this for his boyfiend since sulivan is irrelivant in the USA and the british tabloids are too stupid to realize that from over in the UK.

Here's how Hillie works on her visits Upstate. She usually only goes to safe, blue, areas. And shows up with little notice. If she does deign to show her face in a red area, which is excedingly rare, she does a parachute drop in and out with even less notice. But even when coming to the red areas, she's usually assured of a warm welcome since I can't think of a single Upstate paper that isn't stuck up her behind.

Thank goodness for the internet.

...many sceptical New Yorkers — they’re not pushovers —

This statement is inherently wrong on its face.

However, I do take the candidacy of HRC as inevitable and as one that should be taken seriously.

Sullivan traded in the intellect that once made him a Conservative. Since then he pathetically overstates the resume, character and politics of any potential star in hopes that he can attach himself to some relevant political figure.

He can't seriously use New York as a national barometer. This is just Andrew's version of gonzo journalism, regardless of how he pretends to have retained intellectual integrity.

I couldn't find just a state map, but you can see NYS clearly. Does it look blue?

This is MSM propaganda warming her way.

A writer with no credibility writes an article abroad which will then be re-re-re filtered by the MSM to give the total propaganda credibility.

Keep in mind also that the clintons are masters of getting campaign contributions from NON-american sources. Just as kenedy makes his rants for aljazeera, this was to give hitlary credibility outside the USA.

Consider also that this comes when she was making a foreign trip AT THE SAME TIME as the US president and the media took some of Bush's time to cover her stupidity comments. (also bill is propagandaing in Japan to promote his boook)

The MSM is fighting the propaganda war hard because they want hitlary to be the front runner aganst anyone before 2006. The presidential election is NOW!

right now the presential race is virtual and it is virtual between GWBush and Hitlary. Hitlary has adopted a shadow stealth "copy GWBush" strategy.

If Hillary gets to run against a grey, grim apostle of religious conservatism — a Bill Frist or a Sam Brownback — she stands a real chance. What she has shown these past couple of years is that she is, above all else, shrewd.

Never underestimate the enemy - a lesson that President Bush's opposition has had to learn time and time again.

Sullivan is right. If Hillary keeps it up, she could become the next Mario Cumo.

I agree with you 100%. And if weren't for the intenet, FNC, and talk radio we'd be screwed. But we have the internet and talk radio and FNC, and WE'RE NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE.

Up yours, Hillie.

And why is that? Because she is parroting the republican line. She is so dangerous. Rudy just HAS to beat her for senate in 06.

"No wonder she is so popular in NY."

As my then 14 yr old daughter pointed out (right before she took the $25.00 I bet her off my hands): Hillary is indespubtably a celebrity "a star" and NYers like stars, therefore she will win.

My hope is that Rove is involved enough for 2008 to keep another "he/she is due" candidate like the under-inspiring Dole or x41 candidates.

We need another "cowboy".

Hitlary is a lawyer, a con artist, Hitlary is a woman who married and stayed with bill for political expediency. No very positive for presidential material.

Sounds like some manufacturing of polls going on. Typical liberal news shaping. Certainly doesn't sound like reality.

Andrew says:

Count me a sceptic of the view that Hillary is irreparably damaged. Time heals. Americans have increasingly fond memories of the 1990s.

I agree with you. What is Andrew smoking?

I do take her seriously, but not for the wrong reasons as Sullivan does here.

It is my opinion that Americans kind of blush at the memories of the clinton presidency. It is my opinion that if she has a chance to win, the war on terror would have to be seen as pretty much over or at least well in hand. I think her chance stems from the entertainment value the clintons would hold for Americans and if, after a season of immense seriousness such as we've been in since 9/11, they wish for a return to the clintonian exploits and the Hollywood glitz, plus the self-congratulation for being so enlightened and advanced to elect a woman and get that hurdle gone over.

"If Hillary gets to run against a grey, grim apostle of religious conservatism..."

Another homosexual with his pantaloons in a twist. Why does he imagine that the republicans would be so foolish as to run "a grey, grim" anything in 2008? If they do not see that Bush's upbeat, smiling, open demeanor helped him immensely against the wooden Mr. Gore and the dour Mr. Kerry, well, I guess they'll deserve to have Hillary wipe up the floor with them.

The only problem I foresee is the Hillary! will get the nom basically by proclamation and the pubbies will have some bruising primary battle. Plus, the pubbies are incumbents and it will be hard to focus on slamming the opposition, 1. because the opposition will be only a candidate; and 2. because if it is Hillary the opposition will be a girl. Remember how Lazio screwed that up. And no, I'm not keen on running Condi, who never ran for office in her life. Hillary is a veteran campaigner, esp. if you count all of Bill's elections. In my heart I like Jeb, but that's probably not a good plan for 2008, maybe some future race, he is certainly young enough.
