I was asked to take part in a telephone survey last night.
It was clear by the questions it was being conducted by a leftist group. The questions had to do with my children serving in the military. It was long and involved questions on Iraq deaths, who did I think had the most men (service) in Iraq and many questions about NG and reserves. I asked the female 6 times who had commissioned the poll. She said she did not know. I am betting CNN or CBS will be reporting on it soon

read my post again...
I said that probably "brought the baggage with them when they enlisted as opposed to picking up the baggage after they enlisted"

Hmmmm....and what is the increase in the percentage of Marines called up for duty, or the increase in the number of Marines overall?

This brings to mind an old USMC recruiting poster that depicted a Drill Instructor in the face of a obviously stressed recruit. The Caption read, "We never promised you a rose garden".
While it is regrettable to see these young men and women feel they have no option other than suicide, our thoughts and concerns must remain with the Marines that are doing their best to stay alive in support of their fellow Marines.

The MSM puts on a good act when it comes to supporting our men and women in uniform. These parasites could care less.

All I've heard from them in the past week is "Drill Instructors gone Wild", and now this hype about the suicide rate. I have to question why the MSM has such a problem with a group of men and women that exemplify honor, courage and commitment. (USMC Core Values)

Has anyone looked to see where this happened "over there" or after they came home and listened to the MSM about all the bad things that they report. During the vietnam era many troops were smeared with a montra of baby killer, village burner, (sound familiar?) they had personally raped, cut off ears, cut off heads, taped wires from portable telephones to human genitals.......

And as compared to the civilian population, I would venture to say that the suicide rate is much lower in the Corps.
Of course, as you know, most of these cases never make through boot camp.
The few, the proud...
