ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 22 (UPI) -- U.S. citizen Ahmed Omar Abu-Ali was charged in federal court Tuesday with plotting to assassinate President Bush with either a gun or a car bomb.
Abu-Ali was named in a six-count terrorism indictment in U.S. District Court in Alexandria, Va., upon his return from Saudi Arabia, where he had been held for nearly two years, the Richmond Times-Dispatch reported.
He was ordered held without bond and a detention hearing was scheduled for Thursday.

You know this can't be the only one with such plans. We must pray for President Bush.

The President and his family are ALWAYS in extreme danger.
When you pray be sure to keep them in your thoughts.

U.S. citizen Ahmed Omar Abu-Ali ... What really makes my hair stand on end is that current conventional wisdom and mandatory PC compel me to view these five words as perfectly normal and not noteworthy in any way.
As opposed to an oxymoron, a contradiction in terms, and an insult to every real American Citizen. And I felt that way long before 911.
For those who already know why, no explanation is necessary.
For those who need to ask why, no explanation is possible, without a protracted education in the theory and reality of islam, history, human nature, ethics, philosophy, psychology, sociology and cultural mental illnesses.

I guess I was reminded that they've been targeting America for nearly forty years - it WILL BE a long struggle with those guys...

Only if we ignore the threat and put our heads in the sand. After 9/11 I doubt that will happen for 20 years.

indeed - those who are quick to call for a US withdrawal and the exact detail of the evacuation are simply put traitors to their country (Pete Jennings, the TeeVee host is excepted since he is Canadian, IMHO)
To: add925
Why? The article doesn't mention his religion. He could be an Episcopalian for all we know.
/sarcasm
To: Pendragon_6
We never should have let Omar Abu-Ali set foot on American soil again. We should have said to the Saudi's - if you want to show your with us on the war on terror - take care of him (read "off" him).
Now that he's here all the bleeding hearts and terrorist sympathizers in the US, and that number is far too high, will be whining to the press about his treatment.

The important thing is to keep strip-searching 50 yr-old women and 5 yr-old children at airports. It's simply coincidence that Americans are always killed by young, male, islamicists of Middle Eastern descent.

He could be an Episcopalian for all we know. Dumb Kiddie-non-PC joke time
2 kids didn't have any friends
1 said "its because we're not baptised"
The other said "let's get baptised right now!"
It was early evening, kids knocked on church door.
Janitor opened it, kids screamed, "we ain't leavin' till we get baptised!"
Janitor said "sure thing kids" took them to bathroom, dunked their heads in toilet and said "there you go"
After, 1 kid said "Smell that holy water? Didn't realize we were gonna be Pisscopalians"

The VOA story is much more detailed. Here are some excerpts.
1.
The defendant did not enter a plea in his initial court appearance, but said he had been tortured while detained in Saudi Arabia, even offering to show the judge scars from alleged mistreatment. The judge told Mr. Abu Ali he would not be tortured in any way while in federal custody.
Now all of a sudden I feel all warm and fuzzy. He is a real human (piece of sh!+).
2.
Supporters of the defendant jeered and laughed when the charges were read in court. Speaking with reporters afterward, one supporter characterized the charges as the latest in a coordinated campaign by U.S. authorities against Muslim citizens.
"This [indictment] is as bogus as it can be and the government knows that it is lying through its teeth. Unfortunately, this [U.S.] Justice Department has really lost our respect as a community," he said.
As a
Normal American I could really care less. If you have lost respect for the government then please leave. Do you need help packing? I have a bulldozer that could help you get your crap out the door. For the rest of you that won't go, keep your head down don't be so boisterous you might be buried.
Real Americans need to be more alert. When Muslims want to play nice we still need to be alert because they have no moral law to be honest or upstanding....EVER....

RFK - '68?At one of his parole hearings, Sirhan Sirhan said he had been doing a lot of reading on RFK and he thought that if RFK was alive, he's support his being paroled.
Later that night, Jay Leno said, "Talk about bad luck; the one guy who would have wanted him paroled and he killed him."

Who said I lost respect for the government during the Clinton years? Just cause one person in the government is a jacka$$ doesn't mean you lose respect for the government. If your whole idea of government revolves around one person holding one office you have a narrow view. Muslims are used to receiving the most favored Idiots class, they think we should all CAIR. Well I could care less. Until they start to take action they will all be lumped into the same category.
