Remember when the NEA used to ridicule home schoolers.

That is until it they consistently out performed public school children.

Remember when working feminsts ridiculed mothers who did not put their children in day care? that is until it was revealed children in day care were far more likely to have long term mental problems.

The "blogers" that the MSM mediots refer to are going to be "misunderestimated".

This must be the first time a a "castle" was toppled by being bypassed.

The public is simply going around them. Ignoring the mediots and all or advertise with the mediots.

Woohoo, I love that! *Laughs* I love to think of myself as a ragged and skilled warrior assaulting the bulwark of mainstream media ignorance and dominance. Sweet. :-D

I don't know how even Oliphant could have missed all the talking heads I saw on msm last week. I felt they were very smugly welcoming us bloggers to the "mainstream" in spite of our obvious inferiority as "journalists," and pretending that it was only their generosity that is "allowing" us to come out of the dark ages.

My foot! The castle is useless, for the kingdom has emptied!

Remember when the NEA used to ridicule home schoolers?

That is the way it always works. Certainly so with the MSM versus bloggers. As pointed out by Arthur Schopenhauer:

All truth passes through three stages.
First, it is ridiculed.
Second, it is violently opposed.
Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

The homosexual cite the same quote when they are pushing for acceptance of their sexual behavior.

This must be the first time a a "castle" was toppled by being bypassed.

Actually, this is the entire concept of maneuver warfare. You bypass the enemy's hard points and just go around him. Since he's not mobile he is rendered impotent and irrelevant.

The Mongol Hordes did it a long time ago and the blitz krieg did it to the Maginot Line.

"Never pick a fight with someone who buys ink by the barrel" used to be good advice, and it applied to cartoonists as well. Not any more. Never pick a fight with people who buy bandwidth by the gigabit.

Wow. It's really beginning to hit home when Oliphant covers it...

I suspect he views it as a mere peasant uprising, although the invaders are carrying real weapons, not pitchforks.
