A bunch of years ago, I wrote a term paper while in attendance at USAFA on how the AF and CIA cover up UFO sightings.

This term paper was not well received and I was subsequently invited to leave.

Ah well.

In my opinion, Jennings has no new information. Instead, this will be a cleverly devised hit piece on the administration, calculated to make the viewers (of which there will be a large number because of the subject matter) distrust the President and think he is "keeping something from them." Interviews with administration and military officials will be cut to make them seem like they are doodging questions. Interviews with UFO experts will be constructed to make them seem like noble crusaders persecuted for their desire for truth.

I will be happy to eat my words if I am wrong, but I have a healthy distrust of Peter Jennings and ABC.

I remember in the 1976 campaign that Jimmuh Carter promised that if elected he will find out and reveal to the American people what the government knows about UFO's.

That was the last time he ever spoke of the subject.

BTW, Have you or any close relatives, friends or associates ever had any remarkable, profoundly strange jobs, observations or experiences in the UFO field?

Did you pick up any nuances from that experience with the academy paper . . . which gave you the impression that they knew the topic was about more than swamp gas?

My research was based on a bunch of writing based on the AirForce Blue-book reports as well as personal interviews.

THe only conclusion that I could arrive at, based upon the preponderance of the irrefuted observations was that there are UFO's.

Was curious about their demeanor and tones in discussing your paper with you.

Also, did you come across the chaptyer on UFO's in one of the text books at the academy? Maybe it was in a year later than you left at.

The tone and demeanor were stone-faced flat.

I was there '78-79 and don't recall any text with references to UFO's.

In was a bit reactionaly back in those days and wrote the paper essentially to see how much trouble I would cause/stir up.

Can't say that I have. I've been interested in the subject since I was knee high to a Gray. (My birthday is June 24th) However, I must admit that my years of study have made me a profound skeptic. But, if something convincing ever does show up, I want to be there for it. FWIW I think McMinnvile Or. photos come pretty darn close.

Unfortunately, no. They should be fairly easy to find though. They have been "debunked" several times, but while they could have been faked, it would have taken a young Spielberg to do it. There was an almost identical shot of a UFO taken over France in roughly the same period. But, I've always felt the provenance of that photo was a bit suspect. I do have a pretty good story of my own, but I'm at work now, and I think I'm pushing my luck as it is.

I was shocked to see an ABC ad on FoxNews this morning.

It was for "Good Morning America" but I wonder if they are really reaching for viewers. I'll watch this UFO show, but I kinda doubt it will be anything new.

I thought sweeps was over or do they do that quarterly now?
