A DUmmie made this comment, probably the best one...
"This is why the Republicans win. They never give up! Gregoire has been sworn in, yet they keep fighting unlike spineless Democrats!"

Is it true that 1,800 more votes than voters were counted in King (Communist) County? Actually, it is much much worse than that. Probably about twice as wrong. Some precints have more voters than ballots other precints have more ballots than voters. The "net is about 1800 or so. The gross of unaccounted for ballots is more on the order of 3400 to 3700.
But the appointed head of King County elections has said this is normal and not a problem. Except that in the last major election is discrency was around 17 or 18 voter/ballots. But hey, as the Governor-alleged has said this was a model election and an example for the nation (please excuse me I need to barf.)

I have heard that there is a movement in Seattle to rename King County as "Martin Luther King County" because now it is named for the late Vice President {William?} King. That actually happened a few years ago. To my knowledge it was a done deal.

We just may have a re-votew after all. That is after the State Supremes reverse this judge, it goes to the 9th circuit, then sometime next year it goes to the USSC.

Bonzo - we may get a legit governor yet. The democrats lost on every point they tried to make. We Republicans won on every counter argument to their sleazy tactics. The judge deserves a good deal of respect in this most democrat of states.
If and when it gets to state supreme court, it could be a different song. But for now - we have a winning hand.

I believe that it was already done that King County was "officially" renamed after MLK.

The state constitution says contested elections for governor "shall be decided by the Legislature in such a manner as shall be determined by law." "Through this sentence, the constitution imposes a mandatory duty on only one branch of government - the Legislature," the Democrats said in court papers.
The Republicans countered that the words "as shall be determined by law" clearly delegate the task to the courts.
So the legislature passes legislation on how contested elections are decided and the courts decide the contested elections based on the written law.
This is I think is a no-brainer; no insult intended to those without brains.

What I worry about is Washington State is all Democrat. What good will it do to have a Republican Gov.? It's called "Line-Item-Veto".

A Repbulican governor can veto some really stupid legislation that the leftist representatives want to enact.
