Janeane Garofalo makes a Nazi salute on MSNBC to mock Republicans who dipped their fingers in paint

Actress and liberal talk-radio host Janeane Garofalo is taking issue with congressional Republicans who dipped their fingers in ink for President Bush's State of the Union speech as a sign of solidarity with Iraqi voters, likening it to a Nazi salute.

Garofalo actually made the salute last night as she provided post-speech commentary on MSNBC's "After Hours" program.

"The inked fingers was disgusting," said Garofalo, who is one of the hosts on the Air America radio network.

"The inked fingers and the position of them, which is gonna be a Daily Show photo already, of them signaling in this manner [Nazi salute], as if they have solidarity with the Iraqis who braved physical threats against their lives to vote as if somehow these inked-fingered Republicans have something to do with that."

Iraqi citizens who voted in last weekend's elections dipped their fingers in colored paint to indicate they had voted.

During numerous standing ovations, television cameras showed many members of Congress displaying a finger which had been dipped in blue paint, as a sign of solidarity with the Iraqis who braved violence over the weekend to cast their ballots for the first time in a post Saddam Hussein-era.

"This blue finger is a sign of incredible courage on the part of the Iraqi people," House Majority Leader Tom DeLay said after the speech, noting the paint stays on for a week in Iraq.

She's saluting with the wrong hand. She can't even get that right.

I give her the middle finger salute.

If the tables were turned and they were the Inkies, the dems'd ink the wrong finger.

They had more to do with it than her man, Farnsworth Kerry and, all the other girliemen in her party. She's dumber than dirt.

Democrats Against Democracy

Would they have the guts to wear the t-shirt or use the bumper sticker? Certainly they have the guts to make public displays of anti-democratic sentiment on TV.

I tried, like you know, wrapping, you know, a Kotex, you know, around my finger, you know. But that didn't work so I wrapped some bandaids around the Kotex to male it bigger. OK? But shaw! Even that didn't even work! So, like, no matter what I do, you know, I can't keep from sticking my finger up my a$$. I just have to stick it up there. I don't know why I do that but I don't know why I do all sorts of other stuff. OK? Maybe so my head fits up there more easy? (sticks head up there) Sshe, mtits might up der (takes head out). OK?

Here, smell it! Michael Moore did and even licked it with his tongue! I was, like, you now, soooo proud!!!!

I'm having a hard time coming up with a list of Republicans who were in A.N.S.W.E.R. marches to prop up the Butcher of Baghdad.

Never in a million years did I think we'd find a lefty "celeb" loonier than ol' Barbra Streisand, but I stand corrected. Dear old Janeane makes Babbling Babsy sound almost centrist.

Then again, I never thought I'd see the Red Sox win a World Series in my lifetime either!

True. After Franken, Rhodes, and Ed Schultz get all of the lib "star" treatment, there isn't enough left for her. They rarely mention her unless she does something nutty like this. Expect more "out there" behavior from her. I don't see how she can do much more, but leftists can always find a new low nobody thought possible.

I had the same feeling as you. Although the Republicans in Congress supported the Iraqis, they didn't brave terrorists' guns and bombs to go and vote so I didn't think they were worthy of it. However, since it pissed off the Dems so much I am wavering on my opposition to it.

Duh, the election would not have happened had the US not liberated Iraq. By contrast, she and her left wing kook friends were an obstacle to both this invasion and this election.
