Nobody claims that heteros are immune. I am sure you'll agree that homos, bisexes, and assorted other freaks stand a higher risk of getting these diseases given their colorful lifestyles (to put it mildly).
Recognizing facts for what they are does not constitute homophobia.

Are you saying that some disease agents can penetrate a condom without the condom breaking? That's well known. Especially viruses, which are extremely small, smaller than sperm cells for instance. They are not even cells really, more akin to the nuclei of cells, but smaller than most of those as well.
Since this one is a bacterium, it probably would be stopped by a condom provided the condom is used perfectly, doesn't come off during or after the act and so forth. OTOH, being a bacteria, it could probably spread from or via the sheets, or the towels as indicated by an earlier post.
