I am new to Free Republic. I only came here because NYC radicals acused me of being connected to this site. There seems to be zero interest in these minorities.
I inquired with Freedom 44 as they are persecuted in Iran. He did not respond to my query.
If you ever have the privilege of visiting a Bahai temple please do so. They are friendly peaceful and above all patient. Some Islamic people see them as apostates and they are persecuted.

Interest is generated at FR from creating threads about the cause. FR is international and powerful.

Being 'accused' of being a part of FR is a compliment.

We have moved mountains here. This is MORE than a message forum.

I have still not found why radicals obsess over this site. Any time I spoke to the protesters at the RNC convention the first question is what is your Free Republic name.
This series of questions from NYC radicals went on for months. They have an obsession with Free Republic more than any other web site.

That is because you are still new here. You only see the message forum.

FR is more than a forum. The forum is 'our office'.

When I said to start a bump list or keyword search for you preferences, that is how we start to organize our research. Our research is not just seen by Freepers. There are a lot of high level people here in many medians.

FR has auxiliaries. There is the FR Network and Radio for starters. Stay plugged in. Not just for the Jersey City cause. Set your location and get plugged into chat to meet the freepers in your area.

"I have still not found why radicals obsess over this site."

Rush, Drudge and FR all evoled at roughly the same time period.

Anything the left has is new by comparison. They still have no clue. :-)

Everytime a CAIR representative goes anywhere we should demand they exit our Country and NEVER return. This is NOT
Dar al Islam. And I will die before I surrender America to
that bloody religion of theives and butchers.

My basic problem with the Cair crowd are hypocrisy. When one enters a land he has the obligation to accept certain norms. The Constitution is the basis for our law and the focus is on individual rights. The focus on Islamic societies is on group rights. If one wants that way of life there are plenty of countries to choose from. This may surprise you but many Islamic people are in agreement with that concept.
My other problem comes from historic twisting of facts due to leftist romantic notions. Islam was spread via Colonialism , Ethnocide and at times Genocide. These practices are evil when done by Europe but less evil when done by Islam.
There are plenty of religious minorities more oppressed under Islamic rule than the Palestinians. These minorities have greater cases for nation status but are never discussed even on this forum. This is our failure as Conservatives to reach out to these communities.

Silencing the Coptic community was easy because they have family in Egypt. Some day they will target a media person and this wall of silence will be broken.

Nope, the rest of the media will call the slain victims 'martyrs to the cause" .. in private of course.

The media will react depending on who gets slain. If it is Katie Couric there will be a firestorm as she is part of the fraternity. A Michael Savage type will be portrayed as a person who had it coming. This was the reaction that occurred when Salaman Rushdie was threatened. The read Fatwa should have been delivered by his readers as his book was criminally boring.

Agree with much of what you say-except -th ebasis for our Law is <according to Wm Blackstone, and John Locke and others cited frequently by our founding fathers is Divine Law. When our Law contradicts Scripture our laws are ill made.Islamic Law is equally based upon the Quran and Hadith
and the basic difference is that of East and West. Where
America used Scripture to justify a separaiton of powers
the Muslim use the Quran to justify despotic rule. In AMerica we too often Ignore or wall off the religious aspect and to any Muslim such would be intollerable.

No its really more complicated than that. We view Islam from a Judeo - Christian nexus and it doesn't apply.

Islam is poorly understood because we use our own religion as a frame of reference. Dissent is central in Judaism we have entire vollumes of books filled with dissent and interpretation called the Talmud.
Christianity has the concept of individualism , separation of church and state.
Islam has zero tolerance for dissent. Apostates are killed today for believing in the wrong variety of Islam or being too secular.
TABOO WARNING
There is a certain element of coercion in Islam today. Converts from Islam face real threats of death. This is alien to Judeo- Christianity.

I rely on Ergun Caner-and others like him who converted to
Christianity from Islam. I've also spent a few years living in close proximity to a Turk who enlisted in the
American Army -as a way to learn about our ways-in the process he discovered he did not wish to return home. And he
converted to Christianity. To these I add Kenneth Scott Lattourette; Will Durant;Bernard Lewis;Franklin Graham; etc.
