My first post on this thread pointed out that because of bill gates planned parenthood has more money to kill babies, you want to ignore that fine. Align yoursefl with the killers of babies for the sake of your pet OS and stock profits. If you would just admit that because of gate PPi has more money to kill babies and while you think most of what he does is good you find this disgusting I might no think your hero worship is a mental disease...

If you consider his protestations about abortion to be a sickness, I can't help but wonder if maybe you're on the wrong forum. It's one thing for the pro-abortion types to go spouting off about it, but Gates likes to write big checks. That's the sickness.

John Piper gave wonderful sermon about how abortion feeds into the evils or racism and sexism this sunday its not up online yet but should be in the next couple of days at (http://www.biblicalpreaching.info/recent.php). 33% of abortions in the US are African American (for every five living African Americans there has been one abortion in the last 30 years) and in China and India female babies are aborted far more often than male babies. Taken with teh fact that 'population control' efforts are almost always in non white nations your post is a great on Petr.

For the Record: I read a FORBES (?) article a few years ago and they said that at the "top of the 90's bull-market" (in 2000) Gates was worth $150 Billion.

The article also added that the original Rockefeller still held the 'Richest Man in History' title. Old man Rockefeller was worth an estimated $250 Billion (a quarter of a Trillion dollars!) at his peak before Teddy Roosevelt began his 'Trust Busting' of Standard Oil, etc..

He has done great work, and his generosity to the causes he wants to fund is a great example of how charitable people are with their own money when they've been successful, with or without the government 'taking' it from you so you don't waste it on yourself.

Hair, I can agree with the last part, gates is an example that the government does not need to control giving and that the rich do give a good % of their money away.

Great work is debateable, some things he does are nice and good. But the money to PPI is inexcuseable!

The Bill you want to talk to on that one, is is Bill Clinton, not Bill Gates.
Bill Gates has done more to save the lives of more African children by far than any one individual,just from his anti-malaria campaign alone, given that malaria was killing something like 2 million African babies and children every single year only a few years ago.
Funny thing is, malaria is very easily curable.
The cost? about $10 per head.
This is the great contribution of Bill Gates to Africa.
It no use having children if they then turn round and die from malaria in their first 2 years of life.
That is what me as an African am worried about
