I give Salvation Army a pass. Heck, *I* donate to *them*. They were one of the only groups wot would help me when I was down and out. Don't know the other group, but it's prolly the same, if you are donating to it.

City Union Mission is known best for being a "homeless shelter," but they're so much more than that. They do so much good, it's impossible for me to list it all, but it includes counciling, job training, and family services. They're good people there.
