who is thankful for the work that has allowed her to send money home to her six children in Mexico

she vowed that she would send money back to her mother and four children

Always the same old story. Have babies before you can afford to support them, then be a slave laborer for the rest of your life (or a taxpayer-moocher, if you're "legal"). I feel sorry for the kids, but I don't have one iota of sympathy for the parents.

More to the point, why do either of these parents HAVE six children?

Cry me a river...what a crock a slop. Just who in the heck do ya think cleaned up slaughter houses before the "great illegal migrant rush"? We did..that's who. Be we Irish, German, you name it..WE DID IT!! LEGALLY.

I am sick to death of this crap. If the government wasn't so cozy with the industries..hey..there wouldn't even be this discussion.
Cause common sense would prevail.

Where is the insentive to hire legal Americans? Seems the companies as well as the individual migrants can break any law they want .. no one gets in trouble. But hey...try to voice your opinion about this and you'll get hit with hate crime speech.

Things are gonna be what things are gonna be. But at the VERY least..Pres. Bush and others ought to be honest about the whole deal.

And yes..I voted for him. And yes, this is a topic that makes me want to take it back some days.

But that is the problem.

For the pro-illegal immigration type, it is a BAD thing that non-college educated Americans should earn above Third World wages.

There has always been a stench of class snobbery towards blue collar Americans about free trade, OBL types I never cared for.

The notion that illegal immigrants will do work that Americans wont is a bald faced lie to dupe Americans into accepting more illegal immigration.

I was referring to those that are here legally. As far as the illegals, send them back. The legal aliens have worked very hard to come to our great country and contribute. The illegals have no right to be here.

Shall I post a few stories about illegals gang raping women or maybe robbing some people?

That's the real face of illegal immigration. They are all criminals.

Don't tell me. Write a letter to President Bush. He's the one who wants to give out those "guest worker" visas.

"Carlos Meija, a short, muscular 36-year-old undocumented immigrant from Mexico..."

Undocumented immigrant???? That right there should tell you that this article is full of Liberal crap. That is PC for ILLEGAL ALIEN.

My mother and I became citizens of this fantastic country legally. These people make me sick. Those who break our laws do NOT deserve to be here.

Oh, Boo! Hoo!

The woman is a lawbreaker.

She works hard, so what? So do many American Citizens who are most likely going to pay for the medical care that IS AVAILABLE to her, the food stamps that ARE AVAILABLE to her, this story is pure BS - no matter how hard she's working, how bad she has it, she is a LAWBREAKER.

No Amnesty for Illegals.

We have disease-ridden illegal invaders combining with criminal companies to insert germs and bodily fluids into our food supply. I goes unreported and therefore undealt with. IF they did not have the illegal aliens as co-conspiritors the companies could not cover up that junk. They would have to pay more to fill the work and institute more sanitary practices. Sure food prices would go up, but it would be safer, better food. I'd rather pay a dime more a pound for food that does not challenge my immune system every meal.

Get the criminal invaders out- shut the criminal companies that conspire with them down.

"Why not let the free market determine what wages ought to be instead of flooding the market with low-wage, foreign labor?" he asks.

Oh, you noticed the irony here, too?

The real face of immigration -Bump

"And her coughing won't stop".

Last week in Edinburg, Texas 20 children tested positive for TB exposure. It only took one child to expose 20 in the classroom. (The real face of immigration).

So this woman who can't stop coughing is still working in our food industry? I wonder what disease she has to require 4 prescriptions?

"The notion that illegal immigrants will do work that Americans wont is a bald faced lie to dupe Americans into accepting more illegal immigration."

I'll second that opinion! In the construction and restaurant industries in SoCal you see this going on all the time. These are jobs that citizens wanted to have but couldn't get after being priced out and the government officials standing by and letting it happen. Now many young folks that are looking to fill these jobs won't even pretend to go after them. They know the jobs are already "taken".

S far as I'm concerned the "free market" becomes a lot less free when it gets to the border.

She is dizzy, almost wobbly. Her head aches, her coughing won't stop, and because she doesn't have enough money she has not filled her four prescriptions nor seen a doctor recently.

I don't have health insurance either.
