If British Scientists are being paid to write gags, and if Gag writers earn their living by making aleged scientific discoveries; it explains a lot about the confusion we are experiencing deciding whether to laugh at science or fret over the content of jokes.

Does this explain why my wife can go off like a powderkeg placed to close to a spark and destroy me with a few well chosen words and keep me fully in love with her the whole time? Or is that just a female thing?

I always like the tale that my Gramma used to tell. It appears that when God was creating hair colors he left the red heads for last. Just as he finished the hair he sneezed! That's why red heads have freckles!
BTW trivial item remembered from a long ago Parade Sunday magazine. Blonds have an avg of 120,000 hair folicles on their scalp. Brunettes average 105,000. Redheads 85,000.
A search of Redhead brings up a host of websites where their is an angst for their downtrodden nature! Wanted to link to an image but these sites won't allow a "view the source" html look see! And at several of the sites you "have to be a redhead to join"! One site vows to "fight redism!"

I dont think they are all gone. I know a few that would qualify as Neanderthals. One has red hair.

My wife is very much a redhead. Several years ago she had surgery. The female doctor that did the surgery came out and was talking to me while my wife was in recovery. The doctor said she believes that redheads are a distinct and separate race from all other humans. She said they react to medications and anesthesia different than any other races.
My wife takes high blood pressure medication. The doctor told her she would always be cold and she is always warm. If a medication says it causes drowsiness, it makes her wide awake and an insomniac. Maybe there is something to this theory.

Hmmm...I visited Denmark in the early 1980s and saw more redheads in Copenhagen than I have ever seen in one place.

Everyone knows that red hair is a result of certain celestial factors. The famous wise saying...
"Red sky at night makes shepherd's hair red with delight.
Red sky at morn, shepherds yawn."
sums up the reasons for the prevalence of red hair.
