Pelosi: 'Having Admitted Error of His Words, President Must Admit Error of His Ways'

WASHINGTON, Jan. 14 /U.S. Newswire/ -- House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi released the following statement today on remarks by President Bush in an interview with regional newspapers yesterday in which he said he regretted saying "bring 'em on" in reference to insurgents in Iraq who wanted to attack our troops:

"The President has finally acknowledged that his taunting the Iraqi insurgents by saying 'bring 'em on' has had unintended consequences, likely increasing the dangers faced by our troops in Iraq. Although unintended, the consequences of such remarks were all too predictable.

"It was also predictable that creating a chaotic security situation in Iraq would make the country what it was not before the war -- a 'magnet for terrorists,' a result recently confirmed by the National Intelligence Council.

"More than two years ago, senior military experts such as General Eric Shinseki warned against sending too small a force to Iraq, in part because they knew that any security vacuum created by the fall of Saddam Hussein would be filled by elements united only by the desire to kill Americans. One of the many mistakes of the Iraq war is that the President did not have a plan for preventing Iraq from becoming a hotbed for terrorists. We will be paying the price of that mistake for years to come.

"Having admitted the error of his words, the President must admit the error of his ways."

Pelosi, having advocated the importance of the right to abortion, must now correct the mistake her mother had in failing to get one.

Yeah, right. Had Bush not made the statement, the "insurgents" would never have thought of making things difficult for us.

This photo of Pelosi should have been a profile, so we could better see her two facedness. But, alas....as it so often is, we only see the one face. Not the other. We know it's there though. :-)

This reaction is the reason that GWB didn't say something like this before the election. What the Libs don't understand is that the fact that GWB now admits a "mistake" means that he now considers them and their response irrelevant!

Bush was an absolute IDIOT for saying he regretted his previous blunt language. He pissed off me (the real conservatives) and showed weakness to his enemies (libs and terrorists). He keeps this up and I'm sending him a pair of NEUTICLES!!!!

I'm glad this dried up shrew is the voice of the Democrat House. Her gravitas on military matters is, well, not something America is looking for.

Dear Mrs. Pelosi:

The President could not admit he regretted saying "Bring em on" before the election , because he knew that some Dipwad like you would make a big deal out of it.
As for mending his ways other than allowing Mexicans to walk across the vorder any time they like his ways dont need mending. But yours do. Stop the constant haranguing and get with the program to better America.

If you cant do that the second best thing is to STFU.

And please no more plastic surgery, from looking at your picture, your skin is so tight you cant get your mouth shut.

What is this IDIOT doing being the head of a major American political party? Her idiotic "Gotcha!" crap is precisely what is wrong with democrats in general--their inability to put country in front of party. We all may cringe when the Republicans extend the hand to the other side, but the effort is being made. Why don't the Republicans see that each time they do so, they get slapped in response? Pelosi is a despicable, nauseating, know-nothing filthy harridan who should be behind the lunch counter at a very small California high school (and not trusted to count the drawers at the end of the day) instead of in a position requiring statesmanship.
