We have less than four years to fix this problem. We had better do it or Hillary will be in the White House.

My plan, relatively simple, yet somewhat complex.
You know there are those magnetic strips on the back of licenses, they're not just for show.
I propose, that driver's licenses/non-driver id's, be scaned through a magnetic swipe, which goes into the central computer database for the state, showing their pic on the screen for the poll worker, and whether or not they have voted yet that day.
Their id number/driver license number would have to be included with the absentee ballot, and then typed manually into the computer and seen if they had voted previously or if the absentee ballot should count.

I know this technology exists because I've seen it at casinos. You can scan your driver's license and it will automatically enter you in the day's drawings or at other casinos you could win a random prize. You could scan your players card, but if you've already scanned your license it won't let you do it twice.

BUMP Hey, just send them to King County in Seattle. They'll take ANYBODY! (And they're not even very picky about the voter being deceased...) /s

Unbelievable! Noooooooo...I take it back,it is believable,but it's disgusting.

I like it. But the RATS will never agree. That might take away as much as 2% of their vote.

I think that nowadays we should require fingerprint identification in order to vote.

How about this: Pass a federal law abolishing same day registration.Yes, for FEDERAL elections, anyway. Good idea.
Otherwise you need a Constitutional amendment.

In Oklahoma all absentee ballots are required to have the voter's signature notarized.Another excellent idea!

In Oklahoma all absentee ballots are required to have the voter's signature notarized. They are tossed if submitted without notarized signatures. The ACLU will get this law thrown out--it obviously makes too much sense.

What about military ballots? Do we ban military ballots unless we send notaries to the troops? Or are there notaries in a war zone?
Item # 6 on the suggestion list of those voting as Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA).
http://www.fvap.gov/vao/topten.html 6. Fulfill your states witness/notary requirements (if required).

You do understand we are a Republic -not a democracy? That's why I emphasize FEDERAL elections. If Cuyahoga County wants to allow all 3-toed Cajuns, 2-headed grass snakes and 1-eyed 1-horned flyin' purple people eaters to have 5 votes each, that's fine with me -- so long as it's for local and county offices ONLY.
